Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses both how global fashion influences people and whether it is positive or negative, but the discussion is only partial and the overall position is difficult to identify. You mention apps that teach people “how to look” and “how to wear” clothes, and suggest fashion can express personality; these are relevant explanations of its influence. However, the causes are not clearly developed, and the claim that fashion helps people “compete the society” is not explained. Your view also shifts: fashion is called “a wastage of monay,” yet the conclusion says it has “some profitable effects” without clarifying your final judgement. Develop two or three relevant points with specific explanations or examples, and state a consistent position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, several body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Additionally,” and “To recapitulate” show an effort to guide the reader. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the opening paragraph is difficult to interpret, and the first body paragraph introduces positive and negative effects without explaining either. Some links are inaccurate or repetitive, including “On the one hand” without a corresponding “on the other hand,” and “Because” beginning a fragment after the previous sentence. The conclusion also introduces new claims about education rather than clearly summarising the argument. Use each paragraph for one developed point and connect claims with clear cause-and-effect relationships.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion,” “personalities,” “cultural,” “economic contribution,” and “financial conditions.” These choices show an effort to discuss more than clothing alone. However, many expressions are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the meaning hard to follow: “day to day and upto-date wearings,” “fashion familarity,” “global fashional trends,” and “negligible markets.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “adversally,” “financies,” and “monay” also reduce clarity. Aim for precise, familiar collocations rather than complicated phrases whose meaning is uncertain. For example, describe people as following “international fashion trends” and explain that social media “exposes them to new styles.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional question (“how can they became a part…”) and a relative clause (“those societies who cannot tackle…”). However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement and verb forms frequently interrupt the message. Examples include “a large amount of new trending outcomes,” where the sentence structure is unclear, “applications has made,” and “new dressing sense has changes.” There are also fragments, such as “Because such markets cannot afford the expenses…,” and punctuation problems where clauses run together. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense. Shorter, accurate sentences would make your ideas easier to understand before you add more complex structures.
