Student answer (Band 5.5)

The global fashion trends are the commom in todays life, many people are infleunced by this trend becuase we are more exposed to social media at which we see the famous people like actors, actress, sportsman, influncer and other celebreties and we are watching what they are wearing in dressing and how they are experiencing their lives, so many people do copy of them what they are waering and it becomes such a strong influence on peoples lives that they feels proud and happy in doing this whatever is running. People are influenced by the those dress which is more in trend and they will buy it for themselves and then waer it and they show it public like friends ,family members and others. The other people will be impressed by this thing and they will try to do this.

In my opinion is a negative development in our society or globaly becuase every people dont afford to do this these famous trends of dressing and other things which are running in trends. I know to a boy from my village whose father is farmer , the boy insisted to buy expensive clothes for himself which he watched at social media platform, how a famer can afford the expensive dressing for his son from his normal salary, who is already affording his study expenses for his future.

I think the global fashion trends creating the negative impact on the lives of people whose cannot afford it and dress like global fashion trend.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: you explain that social media exposes people to celebrities’ clothing, and you clearly state that you see global fashion as negative. The example of a farmer’s son wanting expensive clothes gives your opinion a relevant, personal illustration. However, the explanation of how trends spread is repetitive, and the example mainly shows the financial pressure they can create rather than developing the wider effects on people’s lives. The final paragraph repeats the negative view without adding a new reason or consequence. To strengthen the response, explain the influence in a clearer sequence—for example, how repeated online exposure creates desire and how that desire affects spending or self-image—and develop more than one consequence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: the first paragraph explains the influence, the second gives your opinion and an example, and the final paragraph restates your conclusion. This makes the main position possible to follow. However, progression within the first paragraph is weak because several points about copying, buying, wearing and showing clothes repeat the same idea. The long opening sentence also combines many steps, making the relationships between them difficult to track. Linking phrases such as “The other people” and “this thing” do not always identify their references clearly, while the final paragraph largely repeats earlier content. Use shorter sentences, organise each paragraph around one main point, and connect the example explicitly to the reason it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “social media,” “famous people,” “expensive clothes” and “negative development.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “trend,” “people” and “influenced.” Frequent spelling errors—such as “commom,” “infleunced,” “waering” and “celebreties”—make the writing less clear and reduce accuracy. Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, including “do copy of them” and “show it public.” Build a more varied set of accurate phrases for describing influence and consequences, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the social-media mechanism and financial pressure without relying on repeated general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express connected ideas and give reasons, but sentence structures are limited and many sentences contain errors that make the reader work to understand the meaning. The opening is a run-on sentence joined mainly by commas, and forms such as “they feels proud” and “every people dont afford” show problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. The phrase “In my opinion is a negative development” is missing a subject, while “whose cannot afford it” uses an incorrect relative structure. Punctuation is also inconsistent, especially around commas and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “which” or “although.”
