Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary era, it is often argued that the global fashion has highly influenced the way people dress today. I believe this trend happens due to the costant improving in clothing. And this trend has both postive and negative development and it will be explain in upcoming paragraphs.
One of the key reasons that supports my positive development is improvising dressing sense. To elaborate this, in the earlier period considerably high number of people do not know the way of dressing and eventually they wear the random outfits on every occasion which looks so unusual. However, the constant upgrading fashions made indivdual know what to dress and what suits on them to look smart. Another key reason is culture exchange. To explain this, in the recent era, all culture clothes are widely available in every corner of world which allow the humankind to follow other culture and learning about different traditions as well. For instance, Indian sarees are largely loved by every people in the world. As a result, the gloabl fashion allow the people to wear sarres in other country also and this way the global fashion influenced the people in a good way.
Despite some of positive developments, there are some negative setbacks also. The primary negative impact is loosing culture identity. To explain in detail, the constant improving in global fashion. Individuals change the way they dress previously while following their culture and if this continue to rise and inevitable the tradition will never pass to next generation and eventually the culture will stop to rise. For an example, Indians men and women wears the clothes like sarre and kurta on many traditions. But now it largely unavaible to wear it because of global fashion people like to dress formal clothes or fashionable clothes which will loose the culture identitity. One more negative development is impulsive buying. To put it in other words, The daily new fashions are arriving in the markets which influenced people to try it. Moreover, some brand are advertising their clothes by influencers and celebrity for there high sales which influence the individuals to try new clothes by seeing the advertise on social media and eventually they do unnecessary buying.
Conclusively, although the global fashion has some postive impact like improvising fashion sense and cultural exchange. There are also some negative development such as loosing cultural identity and impulsive buying.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain influences such as improved guidance about clothing and the availability of garments from other cultures, then give both positive and negative effects. Your position—that the development has benefits but also drawbacks—is clear, and examples such as Indian sarees and influencer advertising help make the discussion relevant. However, the explanation of how global fashion became influential is less fully developed than the discussion of its effects; the role of social media, international brands, or online shopping could be explained more directly. Some claims also need clearer support: for example, the suggestion that traditional clothing is now largely unavailable is not convincingly established. Develop each main point with a more precise cause-and-effect explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for positive and negative effects, and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress logically, and signposting such as “Another key reason,” “Despite,” and “Conclusively” helps readers follow the argument. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some stronger control through paragraphing and a range of linking expressions. However, several transitions feel formulaic because phrases such as “To explain this” and “To elaborate this” repeatedly announce explanations rather than linking ideas naturally. Some references are also unclear, particularly “this trend” and “it” in the opening and the long sentence about cultural identity. Use more precise referencing and connect each example directly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “culture exchange,” “culture identity,” “impulsive buying,” “traditions,” and “influencers.” These choices show an effort to discuss both social and consumer effects, and the main message remains understandable. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less natural: “costant improving,” “improvising dressing sense,” “gloabl fashion,” and “unavaible” are examples. Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “random outfits” and “high sales.” Aim to learn vocabulary in natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for the mechanisms of influence—such as advertising, online exposure, and consumer pressure—would also help explain the topic more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “which,” “while,” and “although.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the intended meaning is usually recoverable. However, there are some recurring errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “it will be explain” should use a passive participle, while “all culture clothes … which allow” has agreement and article problems. In “Indians men and women wears,” the subject and verb do not agree, and the sentence beginning “The primary negative impact is loosing culture identity” is followed by an incomplete explanation. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and main verb, then review agreement and verb forms, especially in longer sentences.
