Student answer (Band 5.0)
As far as this topic is concerned, I would like to say that the impact of strong influence of fashion trends on people's lives has always been debatable and now has become more controversial with many people claiming that it is positive development while others reject this notion. The substantial influence of this has sparked the controversy over the potential impact in recent years.
From my perspective, this development is not positive impact on people's lives. This essay will further elaborate my views for favoring the positive or negative impact of this trend, thus will lead to a logical conclusion.
As we know that fashion trends always change with passage of time and people flow these trends according to their needs and prefrences. in my opinion, some fashion trends are good and appropriate but on the other hand some fashion trend not seems to appropriate. As like religious people choose clothes according to their religious teachings.
For example, if we compare the today's fashion trends with the ancient fashion trends people choose full and airy cloths while now people like to wear shorts which is against the most of religions teachings.
Analyzing the statement further, the pimary reason behind this is that this issue is due to mass illitracy, ignorance and lack of understanding to choose fashion. Moving further, It is pertinent to mention that it is the basic duty of the government to provide and allow good reasonable fashion trends for the betterment of the public. It is imperative for the authorities to look into the factor behind this issue and drastic measures against the concerned intities.
To encapsulate, I would like to appeal the learned figures

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a negative view, and the discussion of religious clothing gives a relevant reason for your concern about global fashion. However, the task asks both how global fashion became influential and whether this is positive or negative. The response gives little explanation of how its influence spread: changing trends are mentioned, but there is no developed account of factors such as social media, advertising, or international brands. The negative position is also only partly supported, relying mainly on a contrast between modest clothing and shorts. The opening refers to opposing views and promises a conclusion, but the final sentence is incomplete and does not restate your judgement. Develop both parts of the question with specific, explained examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an identifiable sequence: an introduction, a statement of opinion, supporting paragraphs, and an attempted conclusion. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “For example” signal an illustration. However, progression is difficult to follow because several linking expressions are mechanical or do not show a clear relationship. For instance, “Analyzing the statement further” introduces a claim about illiteracy without connecting it clearly to the earlier religious-clothing example. The introduction repeats the idea of controversy, while the conclusion stops at “I would like to appeal the learned figures,” leaving the argument unfinished. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph develop one connected point, with a complete concluding summary.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt some topic-related and formal vocabulary, including “fashion trends,” “religious teachings,” “controversy,” and “drastic measures.” This gives you a basic range for discussing the subject. However, the vocabulary is often repetitive or inaccurately combined, which sometimes makes the intended meaning unclear. Examples include “the impact of strong influence,” “people flow these trends,” and “good reasonable fashion trends.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “prefrences,” “pimary,” “illitracy,” and “intities.” Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, explain that people “follow” trends and that trends are “appropriate” or “inappropriate” in a particular context. This would make your argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while” and “if,” and your main position can generally be understood. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “As we know that fashion trends always change” has an unnecessary “that,” while “some fashion trend not seems to appropriate” has problems with agreement, negation, and sentence structure. The opening sentence is also difficult to control because several ideas are joined without a clear grammatical structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, as in the lowercase “in my opinion” after a full stop. Practise building accurate sentences first, then extend them with subordinate clauses and check articles, verb forms, and punctuation.
