Student answer (Band 5.5)
The dressing of people now a days are influenced by global fashion trends. Many aspects of people dressing are now copied or encouraged because of whats going around in global fashion industry.
The global fashion have a strong influence on people's lives.Especially after the emergence of social media networks and global connectivity.People now have a acces across the global and they keeps an eye upon whats going around in the global fashion industries.Fashion influencers, social media stars, other national or international stars of different industries now have greater impact on common peoples lives. They have acces to there lifestyles, their dressing etc.So they tries to copy and match there dressing. In the past before social media there was only film or dramy industry from wherepeople use to copy the syles of stars and drssing but now with emergence of different social media plateforms and connectivity of global stars with there fans and common people it become much more easier for them to create impact in common people lives and influence them.
As this connection between common people and mega stars is much stronger then before and people get influenced very easily from there dressing and fashion. This creates a great bond and connection between common people and mega stars and they get influenced by whats trending in global fashion and tries to copy those dressing trends.Like in past there was a trend of narrow pents with time it has changed and now baggy pents is in trending. This strong influence of global fashion on common people is a positive thing as they remain connected to global and coping the trends provides them a sense of happiness as they can relate themselves with globe as well as there faviourt stars.Along with that this contributes in global fashion industy and global economies overall.
As in past I used to wear only my cultural dresses (shalwar kameez). But with time I got fasinated with Italain style dressing because of watching reels of different influencers on social media. So I bought around 4 new suits of Italain style.
People are influenced by global fashion trends now a days in various ways. This has a positive impact on there lives as well as upon global fashion industry and economies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain the influence of social media, influencers and celebrities, and you clearly regard the trend as positive. The example of moving from shalwar kameez to Italian-style suits also makes your view personal and relevant. However, the explanation of how global fashion became influential is stronger than the evaluation of its effects. Benefits such as happiness, connection and economic contribution are mentioned, but are not fully explained or supported; for instance, the claim that copying trends creates a bond with stars could be clarified. Develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example, and consider briefly acknowledging a possible drawback before reaffirming your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an overall structure: it introduces the topic, explains the role of social media, gives a view on whether the trend is positive, and ends with a personal example and summary. This makes the main line of argument understandable. However, progression within the middle section is sometimes repetitive: the ideas that people watch stars, copy their clothes and feel connected to them recur several times. Linking phrases such as “As this connection…” do not always make the relationship between ideas clear, and the personal example arrives after the main evaluation rather than being integrated with it. Use more clearly separated paragraphs for causes, evaluation and example, and make each paragraph advance one distinct point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “social media networks,” “influencers,” “cultural dresses” and “global economies.” These choices help communicate the subject and your position. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “influence,” “dressing” and “global,” while several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “access across the global,” “copying the trends” and “in trending.” Spelling errors such as “faviourt,” “industy” and “fasinated” also make the writing less controlled. Build a wider set of precise expressions for describing fashion’s reach and effects, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including explanations with “because” and “as,” and the reader can generally follow your meaning. However, control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries are noticeable. For example, “The global fashion have” should use a singular verb, while “people dressing are” needs a possessive form and a matching verb. The opening also joins sentences without a space or clear punctuation, and “So they tries” has subject–verb disagreement. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and divide long chains of ideas into shorter, accurately punctuated sentences.
