Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view that global fashion has both benefits and drawbacks, and you state that its disadvantages outweigh its advantages. The Hunza wedding example also makes the financial pressure of keeping up with trends relevant and concrete. However, the response only partly answers the question: it gives little explanation of how global fashion became influential, and the final point about social media is left unfinished. The positive side is mentioned but not developed, while the negative argument is only briefly explained. The response is also 27 words below the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, explain the role of social media, celebrities, or international brands, then develop both the benefits and harms with clear examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction and a paragraph about fashion at events, and phrases such as “for instance” and “Although” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is incomplete: the opening promises a discussion of both effects, but the body mainly focuses on event clothing and cost, and the final sentence about social media does not develop into a complete paragraph or conclusion. Some links are unclear, particularly “Although, the events are memorable but the trends make it out of budget,” where the relationship between the ideas is difficult to follow. Plan a clear sequence—causes of influence, positive effects, negative effects, and a conclusion—and use linking phrases to show those relationships accurately.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “designer dresses,” “freedom of choice,” and “social media,” which helps communicate the subject. There is also an attempt to use less common expressions such as “prevaling trends.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “bringsboth,” “develpoments,” “apllied,” and “commmercilaized.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “make it out of budget” and “for the sack of views.” Proofread spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing influence and cost. More precise vocabulary would help you explain how trends spread and why people follow them.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentence forms, including “Although people have their own choice…” and “Although, the events are memorable…,” but these structures are not consistently controlled. The opening contains a comma splice between two complete ideas, and the first sentence has a subject–verb agreement error in “The trends brings.” Other examples include “one should adopt the trends bindly without considering their outcomes,” where the pronoun reference is unclear, and “The freedom of choice should privilaged,” which is missing a necessary verb form. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, including the lowercase “for instance” after a full stop. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
