Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is true that the people dress today life are influence by global trends. It is important to analyze the global fashion become such a strong influence on peoples lives. From my perspectives these are both positive and negative effects on indivisuals depending on different asspects of life.

In response to the first question, I believe that people lives are significantly influence by globel fashion because social media alter the world into a global village. People spent most of their time on social media using different social apps like tiktok instagram and facebook, Discovering different cultures and fashions on international level and try to adopt these trends. For example, From my personal experience specifically in cloths fashion like jeans baggy paints and different classic suits was trending on social media in 2020 asain people start wearing cloths influence from social media. Technology made easier to import products from other countries. For instance online markets like amozon alibaba and other online market places make it easier to exchange of products internationally.

In response to the second question from my perspectives it has both positive and negative asspects. The positive asspects is that people become more aware of different cultures of diffrent nations across the world for instance people came to know about life style of people from different countries and it make communication easier with them. On the other hand negative aspect is it dominats on local cultures and can be danger for different traditions to disappear eventually.

Overall, globel fashion become strong influence on people lives because of moderen tecnology and spending to much time on social media.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: social media and online marketplaces are offered as reasons global fashion spreads, and you identify cultural awareness as a benefit and the weakening of local traditions as a drawback. Your overall view that the effects are mixed is present, but it is not fully consistent: the introduction says the effects depend on different aspects, while the conclusion mainly explains the influence rather than clearly judging whether it is positive or negative. Several points are asserted rather than developed. For example, explain how seeing trends online leads people to adopt them, and give a clearer example of how local traditions might be displaced. The response meets the stated length requirement; the eight words copied from the task prompt are excluded from the count.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs addressing each question, and a concluding sentence. Phrases such as “In response to the first question” and “On the other hand” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, these transitions can feel mechanical, and some ideas within paragraphs are joined without clear sentence boundaries, particularly the sequence about social media, discovering fashions, and adopting trends. The example about clothing is also difficult to follow because its connection to the preceding point is not clearly explained. To improve progression, organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain it and connect a specific example directly to it. Make references such as “these trends” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global fashion,” “social media,” “international level,” “cultures,” and “traditions,” and you attempt more specific examples such as jeans and suits. This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “asspects,” “globel,” “cloths,” and “dominats”; “baggy paints” also appears to be an inaccurate clothing term. Some phrases are awkward, such as “exchange of products internationally.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, for example “adopt fashion trends” and “import products from abroad.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a cause-and-effect explanation beginning “because social media…” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “people lives are significantly influence” needs a plural possessive and a correctly formed verb, while “The positive asspects is” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The long sentence beginning “People spent most of their time” also runs into a fragment-like sequence after “facebook.” Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine them with conjunctions and punctuation; check that each sentence has a clear subject and finite verb.
