Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's world, the international brands have a significant impact on people's dressing sense. I firmly believe that international movies and web series are the root cause of this trend and this is a negative phenomenon because it crreates a threat for the cultural attire of the country.
The main reason for this trend is that nowadays eveyone can access internatioanl movies and shows easily, which infulance their dressing style. By watching Hollywood movies and series people get knowlege of the attire of other countries, they wants to look like their favrioute actors and actresses. Owing to this, they start to purchase clothes from global brands and wear them on a regular basics. For example, in India, those people who watch global movies prefer to buy more clothes from international brands like Zara and Puma than those wwho watch only the regioanl pictures.Hence, internatinal movies alter people's dressing style completely.
The primary reason why this trend is a negative trend is that it promotes internatioanl clothes instead of the local clothes. When people where branded clothes eveyday, they start to think thses clothes as a sign of socal status, so that is why the do not give preference to the regional clothes. Moreover, it not only creates a threat from the traditional attire but also comple to close the local clothes industries as people do not buy local clothes. for instance, in india, local clothes manufacturing firms are closing permanently since people only buy branded outfits. As a result, the number of those people who wear native clothes decreases sharply.
In Conclusion, althought by wearing branded clothes people can become attractive and good looking, I believe that it plays a singinficant role in close local industries and extenction of the cultural garments

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses both parts of the question: you explain how global fashion spreads through international films and series, and you clearly judge its effects as negative. The examples of viewers copying actors and choosing international brands help make the explanation relevant. However, the discussion of how this influence becomes strong is narrower than it could be, since it focuses almost entirely on screen entertainment and does not consider other channels such as social media or advertising. The negative effects are also asserted more than demonstrated: the claim that local clothing firms are closing would be stronger with a specific example or clearer explanation. Develop these points more fully and qualify broad claims to make the response more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your position, two body paragraphs present the cause and the negative effects, and a conclusion restates your view. Linking expressions such as “The main reason,” “Moreover,” and “As a result” help readers follow the argument. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical because several sentences rely on explicit connectors, and some references are unclear. For example, “it not only creates a threat from the traditional attire” does not clearly identify what “it” refers to, while “this trend” is repeated without adding much progression. Use more precise referencing and connect each example directly to the point it supports; this would make the flow smoother and the paragraph development more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “international brands,” “dressing style,” “traditional attire,” “local clothes industries,” and “cultural garments.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and phrases such as “sign of social status” show an attempt to express more specific concepts. However, spelling errors are frequent, including “infulance,” “favrioute,” and “extenction,” and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate: “regular basics” appears to mean “regular basis,” and “threat from the traditional attire” is not a natural expression. Repeated use of “clothes” and “trend” also limits precision. Check spelling carefully and build a wider set of accurate collocations for discussing fashion, cultural identity, and local industries.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “everyone can access international movies and shows easily, which influence their dressing style” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “When people wear branded clothes every day.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “they wants” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “they start to think these clothes as a sign” needs a different verb pattern, such as “regard these clothes as.” The sentence beginning “Moreover, it not only creates…” also has an unclear subject and an awkward parallel construction. Review agreement, verb patterns, articles, and sentence boundaries, then proofread to improve accuracy while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
