Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays people's fashion choices are greatly influenced by global fashion trends. This is due to excessive marketing by the brands in the people people daily lives through social media. I strongly believe that this has a negative impact on people.
A lot of people nowadays are following global fashion trends around the world. One of the main reason is the influence of global celebrities through targeted marketing of their fashion choices. Almost all of the people are active on social media and there is a huge influence of celebrities on people's daily lives. As a result what ever celebrities wear it is followed by normal people. For example, Most companies make these celebrities their brand ambassadors and pay huge amount of money to them for influencing their products to the people. They launch huge marketing campaigns through social media and tv advertisements to show what's trending around the world and make people so that people can buy their products and follow their fashion trends.
I believe that these global fashion trends are having negative impact on people's local culture. Most people around the world now follow similar clothing styles and have forgotten what their cultural choices were before following the race to wear trendy clothes and accessories. For example, students in schools and colleges are mostly active on social media and follow each other, they post pictures with different lifestyles influenced by the celebrities and global brands marketing as a result they forget their cultural and local choices.
In conclusion, due to influence of celebrities, people now a days follow different kinds fashion trends. However, this has negative impact on the society as most people have forgotten their cultural choices and only follow those things which are trending.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain the influence through celebrity promotion and social media, and you clearly argue that the effect is negative because local culture is being displaced. The brand-ambassador example is relevant and helps explain how trends reach consumers. However, the explanation of why people follow these trends is somewhat narrow, and the point about students mostly repeats the idea of social-media influence rather than developing a distinct consequence. The claim that people have “forgotten” their cultural choices would be stronger with a specific example or a clearer explanation of what is lost. Develop each main idea with more precise supporting detail to make the response more fully convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining the influence, a paragraph presenting your view, and a conclusion. The progression from celebrity marketing to its cultural effects is easy to follow, and phrases such as “As a result” and “For example” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some linking is mechanical, and the second body paragraph repeats the social-media point without clearly advancing the argument. The sentence beginning “They launch huge marketing campaigns” also becomes difficult to follow because several purposes are joined together. Use clearer sentence boundaries and make each paragraph develop one distinct point, with references that clearly identify who or what is being discussed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “targeted marketing,” “brand ambassadors,” “cultural choices,” and “trending,” so the main ideas are communicated clearly. There is some repetition of “global fashion trends,” “people,” and “influence,” which limits the range and precision of expression. A few word combinations are awkward, such as “follow the race to wear trendy clothes” and “different kinds fashion trends”; these make the phrasing less natural. There are also spelling and form issues, including “what ever” and “now a days.” Aim to vary repeated terms and check common collocations and word forms so that your vocabulary sounds more precise and controlled.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple sentences and longer structures, including a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “As a result” and a relative clause in “things which are trending.” Most of the meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur. Examples include the agreement error “One of the main reason,” the missing article in “having negative impact,” and the unclear construction “make people so that people can buy.” Punctuation also needs attention: the long marketing sentence would be clearer if divided, and commas are needed after introductory phrases such as “As a result.” Work on agreement, articles, and building complex sentences with a clear main clause; this will improve accuracy without sacrificing variety.
