Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You give a clear negative position in “I firmly believe” and offer one relevant consequence: people with limited means may feel pressure to follow fashion and turn to crime to meet the cost. However, the response only addresses the negative/positive part in a very limited way and does not explain how global fashion became influential. Social media is mentioned, but the mechanism and any supporting example are not developed. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, leaving the argument incomplete. To improve, explain several causes, such as influencers, international brands, and online shopping, then develop your view with specific examples and consider why the trend may also have benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic progression: it introduces global dressing trends, signals contrasting opinions, states a negative view, and gives a consequence. The linking expressions “although” and “on the other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the contrast is not completed, and the final point about crime appears without explanation or a clear link to the earlier claim. There is no paragraphing, and the ideas are compressed into a few sentences, so the overall argument does not develop logically. Organise the response into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for causes and your evaluation, and a conclusion. Use clear references and transitions to show how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small number of relevant expressions, including “international level,” “social media trends,” and “afford that,” which help communicate the general topic. However, the vocabulary range is narrow and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “dressup,” “nagtive,” “negtive,” “firmely,” and “ativitives.” Some phrases are also unnatural: “people impress by social media trends” and “many other issues create” do not express the intended meaning precisely. Build a topic vocabulary set around fashion influence, such as “follow global trends,” “feel pressure to keep up,” and “financial hardship.” Check spelling and learn common collocations so your ideas are easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both a simple statement and a longer conditional-style explanation, showing some effort to connect causes and consequences. However, sentence structures are limited, and errors in verb forms, articles, and clause construction occur throughout. For example, “it has been observe” needs a past participle, while “when poor people impress by social media trends” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. The sentence beginning “although some people think” also has faulty punctuation and an incomplete contrast. Practise accurate basic patterns first, such as “People are influenced by…” and “When people cannot afford…, they may…”. Then add controlled complex sentences using because, although, and as a result, checking that each clause has a subject and verb.
