Student answer (Band 5.0)
It has been observed that fashion is being a global trend this is because of social media and people's culture. I presume that benefits of these precautionary action would surpass its drawbacks to a major extent. My opinion is elaborated with reasons and relevant examples.
Examining the brighter side of, the foremost one is that social media is the main cause of fashion became global trend what we see on social media the people and how they dress and try to dress like that because they loved it. Moreover high profile figures musicians and actors Starts viral clothing crazy fans try to copy them like in 2010 decade justin bieber dress whatever the next day fans copy that dressing that influence to global fashion trends.
I really think this is a positive development among global fashion trends because it empower cultural exchange people explore the one another's cultural dresses and their culture too, For example I'm sindhi and my culture is one of the oldest cultures in the world if anybody approaches me through my traditional dress salwar qameez and Ajrak they know about my culture and its history overall it is positive development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a clear overall view that global fashion is a positive development, and you identify social media and celebrities as influences. The example of Justin Bieber’s clothing and your explanation of how traditional Sindhi dress can introduce others to a culture are relevant. However, the response only partially answers the task: the reasons fashion has become influential are briefly stated rather than explained, and the positive effects are not developed beyond cultural exchange. The conclusion is cut off, so the response does not provide a complete ending. It also contains 200 words, below the required 250, which limits the space available to develop and support your ideas. Add fuller explanations and examples for both parts of the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response moves from an introduction to the causes of global fashion, then to your positive view and a cultural example. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points, and phrases such as “Moreover” and “For example” signal additions and illustration. However, progression is not consistently clear. The opening sentence combines several ideas without showing how they connect, and the transition from celebrity influence to cultural exchange is abrupt. Some linking is inaccurate or mechanical, as in “Examining the brighter side of,” which does not lead smoothly into the sentence. The conclusion begins but is incomplete (“the influence of gl”), leaving the overall structure unfinished. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each explanation directly to the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “social media,” “cultural exchange,” “traditional dress,” and “history.” These choices make your main subject and position understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “high profile figures” and “viral clothing.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or combinations are unnatural or unclear, including “fashion is being a global trend,” “precautionary action,” and “clothing crazy fans.” Spelling and capitalisation are inconsistent in “justin bieber” and “Starts.” Aim for precise collocations and avoid inserting formal-sounding phrases that do not fit the meaning. More varied vocabulary for describing influence, imitation, and cultural exposure would help you express ideas more accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a reason-and-example structure beginning “because social media is the main cause…” and a conditional example about people approaching you through traditional dress. However, complex sentences are often difficult to follow because clauses are joined without clear grammatical control. For example, “what we see on social media the people and how they dress and try to dress like that” lacks a clear sentence structure, while “it empower cultural exchange” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also problems with articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, such as “fashion became global trend” and the run-on sentence about celebrities. Practise building complete sentences with one main clause and clearly attached supporting clauses, then check agreement, tense, and punctuation.
