Student answer (Band 5.5)
New trends have major effect on people's life and it chnage the way everybody dress themselves. From my prespective, It's good to make new changes in life by following modern trends.
In today's era, everybody is going behind famous influencers , content creators and actors no matter from which country they belong to. Especially young generation has a great ratio. People follow what is trending on the internet and what makes them look cool. I think its good to follow someone for the right thing for example if someone is influencing you to wear comfortable, modern and cool clothes then why you shouldn't do that. There are many famous brands and designers who do publicity of their designs for the people to buy them and make copy of them in more economical way. We should modernize ourselves by the time passed.
Furthermore, Now adays social media is becoming more famous than a TV, Young generation to old generation everybody is on Instagram, tiktok and facebook . They like to do what others are doing and try to copy them. They like to do the same they saw and try to style themselves the same way they saw in dramas or seasons.
For instance, Korean, chinese and thai dramas are becoming famous among asians and girls try to wear same clothes like they do and eat the same food like ramen and kimchi. It's good in a way that we should change ourselves and try different styles.
In conclusion, Its human nature to be influenced by others and try to copy them. Its a positive way to make yourself modern and follow what's trending.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you identify social media, influencers, celebrities and international entertainment as ways global fashion spreads, and you clearly regard this influence as positive. The examples of Korean, Chinese and Thai dramas help make the discussion relevant. However, the explanation of how fashion becomes influential is mostly general, and the positive judgement is asserted more than examined. For example, “why you shouldn’t do that” and “we should modernize ourselves” support your view but do not explain possible benefits in detail or consider any drawbacks. To strengthen the response, develop one or two causes with clearer explanation—such as the speed and reach of online promotion—and support your opinion with a specific, fully explained example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally remain connected to global fashion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the answer. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes loose: the discussion moves from influencers to brands, then to social media and food, without always explaining how each point connects to the main argument. Some links are also repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “try to” and “same.” Improve cohesion by grouping related causes together and using clearer references to connect examples to the claim they support, rather than relying mainly on basic transition phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “influencers,” “content creators,” “trending,” “designers” and “economical.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “has a great ratio,” “do publicity of their designs” and “make copy of them.” Repetition of “follow,” “copy,” “same” and “good” also limits variety and precision. Spelling and word-form errors, including “prespective,” “chnage” and “Now adays,” are noticeable. Aim to use more accurate collocations and a wider range of terms for influence and fashion, such as “promote designs,” “replicate styles” and “shape clothing choices.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if someone is influencing you” and a sentence explaining that people follow what is trending online. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. For example, “New trends have major effect” is missing an article, while “everybody is going behind famous influencers” has an unclear grammatical construction. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “social media is becoming more famous than a TV, Young generation…” and “It's good in a way that we should change ourselves.” Practise accurate articles, verb forms and punctuation, and build complex sentences around one clear main clause.
