Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is a controversy about individuals are dressing like global fashion trends. From my perspective it is a negative development. it creates complex between youngsters. In addition, students do not focus on their studies they just focus to look perfect according to the fashion trend.
On of the main drawback is most people who are not come from wealthy family when they see others like celebrities they feel complex in thier own and they waste their money to buy clothes and things according to the global fashion trend. Furthermore, nowadays, people give repects to other person according to their dress and judged according to their apperance. For example, In modern society, inhabitants do not give importance to the simplicity they prefer to judged people according their dressing scence not their behaviour.
On the other hand side, following fashion trend is beneficial because it helps to built them confidence but university-going students specially girls follow too much and take it as a competition, as a result they do not concentrate on their studies and then take supply in their subjects. Moreover, some youngsters feel if they do not dress like a fashion trends they may look like a lower standard. For instance, nowadays individuals prefer to dress like a trends and sometime they feel uncomfortable but they do not wear comfortable clothes.
In conclusion, there is an ongoing debate about dressing according to follow the trends. I believe it is a negative development because everone should choose dress according to their taste and in which clothes they feel comfortable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that global fashion is a negative development, and you include relevant concerns such as pressure on young people, spending, appearance-based judgement, and distraction from studies. However, the task asks both how global fashion became such a strong influence and whether this is positive or negative. Your response mainly discusses possible effects and gives little explanation of the causes of its influence—for example, the role of celebrities, social media, advertising, or international brands. Some points are also asserted rather than explained, such as students taking “supply” in subjects. Develop fewer ideas with clearer reasoning and specific examples, and make sure both parts of the question receive balanced attention.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad structure. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the second body paragraph shifts from confidence to academic performance and then to comfort without fully connecting these points. The contrast introduced by “On the other hand” is also confusing because the paragraph mostly returns to disadvantages, despite briefly calling fashion beneficial. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkward, and references such as “they” can be unclear. Group related ideas together, use transitions that accurately show the relationship between points, and explain how each example supports the main argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trend,” “celebrities,” “appearance,” “confidence,” and “comfortable clothes.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand, such as “creates complex,” “feel complex in their own,” “give repects,” and “dressing scence.” There are also spelling errors, including “thier,” “apperance,” and “everone.” Aim to learn natural phrases for describing social pressure and influence, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express your ideas without relying on repeated references to trends and dress.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea (“if they do not dress like a fashion trends”) and a result clause (“as a result they do not concentrate”). However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. For example, “There is a controversy about individuals are dressing” needs a correctly formed clause, while “students do not focus on their studies they just focus” joins two independent clauses without suitable punctuation or a conjunction. Other problems include missing or incorrect articles and agreement, as in “On of the main drawback” and “people who are not come.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation also need attention. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using clear conjunctions and punctuation.
