Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear negative view and offer relevant reasons, including pressure to buy expensive clothes and the influence of social media. However, the task asks both how global fashion became influential and whether this is positive or negative. The social-media paragraph begins to explain the influence, but the response does not develop other causes, such as advertising, international brands, or celebrities’ visibility, in a balanced way. Several claims—for example, that parents encourage underage girls to have sex—are extreme and are not clearly connected to fashion trends, so they weaken the support for your position. The response is also 43 words below the required minimum. Develop fewer, more directly relevant ideas with clear explanations and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has a basic paragraph structure: an opening opinion followed by paragraphs about celebrities, social media, and parental pressure. This gives the reader some sense of organisation, and examples are introduced with phrases such as “For instance” and “For example.” However, there is no concluding paragraph, and the progression between ideas is not always clear. The opening mentions celebrity influence, but the first body paragraph moves quickly from copying clothes to fraud without explaining the connection. Repeated use of “Recently” and “For example” also makes linking mechanical. Use a clearer sequence—first explain the causes, then assess their effects—and add a conclusion that restates your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “luxury clothes,” “outfits,” and “social media,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to follow, such as “financialy stable,” “possibile,” “lastest,” and “Futhermore.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “join into criminal act” and “purchase the lastest ones.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise language when describing causes and consequences. Proofreading spelling and choosing standard phrases would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional idea in “who is not financially stable can use his/her savings” and a sentence beginning “For example.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For instance, “Global fashion trends has become” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “many parents enjoys” also has incorrect agreement. The sentence about parents and children contains several clauses joined without clear punctuation, making it hard to follow. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and capitalisation. Practise accurate agreement and build longer sentences around one main clause, using punctuation to separate supporting details.
