Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are a variety of aspects the way people dress today that had a great impact on global fashion trends.now a days from people perspective they thought that westren fashion trends are so trendy copying the westren peers whatever if we talk about males or a females both genders are involved in these trendy fashion like if we see males they are copying old money style jeans baggy jeans in both genders are now familiar to all unlike females are also approving baggay styles specially in summers or winters. these trends that I'm talking about is not soecific to one region I'm discussing globally that whole world is following the same trends and theses are gaining popularity from worldwide.

And these trends have a strong influence on people lives as well these kinds of trends changing everyone's lives and yeah i also think tha there is some positivity behind it instead of old fashions trends and following the same fashion sense make it boring or even worse so from negative point of view i don't think so that it negativitly effect our future or harm any one its a great thing.

so i i want to discuss my own experience from my life im also a big fan of these trendy things i also prefer to wear these kinda things thats are trendy if i dont follow these trends i think i should be a big dumb that the whole world is following the trend and I'm going on the totally opposite side so yeah i really like to wear baggy jeans, farshi shalwars etc like

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You attempt to address both questions: you mention the spread of Western styles and say that following trends is positive because it makes fashion less boring. However, the explanation of how global fashion became influential is only briefly suggested through people copying peers; there is little detail about how trends reach people or why they spread worldwide. Your positive position is present, but the reasoning is limited, and the claim that trends do not harm anyone is not supported. The personal example about wearing baggy jeans and farshi shalwars is relevant, but it does not explain the wider effects. Develop each answer with a clear reason and a specific example to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the first paragraph discusses fashion trends, the second gives your view, and the final paragraph introduces personal experience. This gives the reader a basic sense of the response’s direction. However, the progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long, loosely connected sentences, and links such as “and yeah” and “so” are repeated. The opening also reverses the task’s focus by saying clothing aspects affect global trends, rather than explaining how global trends affect clothing. Use clearer topic sentences, separate examples from explanations, and connect each point with precise transitions. A complete concluding sentence would also help the response feel finished.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “old money style,” “baggy jeans,” and “farshi shalwars,” which helps make your examples specific. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “trends,” “fashion,” and “following.” Some choices are unclear or imprecise, such as “from people perspective,” “these kinds of trends changing everyone’s lives,” and “big dumb.” Spelling errors such as “westren,” “baggay,” and “negativitly” also make the message less clear. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for influence and change, and check spelling and collocations so your examples communicate your ideas precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express connected ideas and give examples, but the response relies heavily on long sentences joined by “and,” with limited control of sentence boundaries. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in phrases such as “these trends … is” and “these kinds of trends changing everyone’s lives.” There are also problems with articles, pronouns, and sentence construction, for example “a females” and “if i dont follow these trends i think i should be a big dumb.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, making some sentences hard to read. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add a few accurately formed complex sentences using clauses such as “because” or “although.”
