Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays fashion trends are increasing rapidly all across the world because of social media and by young influencers and people are adopting clothing styles orginates from different parts of the world. I strongly agree that global fashion trends bring positive energy and development allover the world.
To begin with, fashion trends are increases through people wide access on social media platforms like Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram. On these platforms they watch influencers who shares their pictures or videos regularly wearing new trendy styles clothes and shoes. This things inspired people for example a person where shalwar kameez from pakistani culture and a jacket on it to create unique style loks very amazing and fashionable additionally these gives confidence and a clear mindset about fashion.
Moreover, global fashion gives an opportunity that you explore different cultures and learn from that. It also creates bussiness opportunities for brands all accross the world. For example todays almost each brand have their website and you purchase a westren dress just with some clicks on your phone while sitting in eastren side of the world. As a result, fashion trends can spread across different countries within a very short period.
In conclusion, global fashion has become a powerful influence mainly because of social media and the availability of international brands. I strongly believe this is a positive development because it promotes creativity, cultural understanding and economic opportunities while giving people greater freedom to express themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you explain social media’s role in spreading fashion and give a clear positive view, supported by points about cultural exchange, creativity and business. However, the explanation of how fashion became influential is brief, and some supporting ideas need fuller development—for example, the shalwar kameez-and-jacket example is mentioned but not clearly explained as evidence of global influence. The business point is also asserted more than explored. The response is 11 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop these ideas. To strengthen the response, explain the mechanisms and consequences in more detail, using a specific example for each main point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally follow a sensible progression, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help the reader follow the argument. However, some connections within sentences are awkward or unclear, particularly in the first body paragraph, where the example and its claimed benefits run together. Phrases such as “This things” also make referencing unclear. The conclusion repeats the main position effectively, but the body paragraphs could connect their examples more explicitly to the central argument. Use clearer sentence boundaries and refer back to ideas with precise wording rather than relying mainly on basic linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “influencers,” “cultural understanding,” “creativity” and “economic opportunities.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and there are some attempts at more specific language, such as “availability of international brands.” However, the range is limited in places, and noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “orginates,” “bussiness,” “westren” and “eastren” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “positive energy and development” and “trendy styles clothes.” Aim for accurate collocations and a wider range of terms for influence, access and cultural exchange. Proofreading spelling and choosing more natural phrases would make your meaning clearer and more polished.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “fashion trends are increases” has an incorrect verb form, while “influencers who shares” does not agree in number. In “This things inspired people,” the demonstrative and noun do not match, and “a person where shalwar kameez” is structurally unclear. Some sentences also run together without effective punctuation. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Careful editing for agreement, articles and sentence boundaries will improve control while allowing you to retain your more complex attempts.
