Student answer (Band 5.0)

The way people think nowadays about how they dress is pretty different to how they are dressing today, according to many aspects these are most definitely influenced by the global fashion trends.

If we see it in third a prespective it really reflect how people are dressing in the street, concerts, clubs and even in simpler places like the supermarket and it become such a strong influence on people's lives and you can see that influence on the clothes that people wear for an example, people in the 1990's dress way more naturaly in the clubs then let's say sombody from the 2010's that is well recognized by coping different fast fashion trends for instant coping a famous person like the kardashian family and that trend doesnt's appear in the first group. People tend to just stick to familiarty while choosing what to wear when they go out, I personally do that when going out, I be trying a lot of outfits to just pick the most simpler one just because it's what everybody Is already dressing like, just to avoid being seen as an outsider.

I really think that sticking to trends could ruin the fun of being a humain and it's not really postive in the sense of development either cause dressing to your own self confident is really the main point people dress to their culture to represnt themself and when it's reflecting you and not simpily looking out for validation by following the global fashion trends that could definitly look bad when looking back at it in the future and it's just not you in there and that's one of the hardest lessons I did go through in the past ten years looking back at my old photos and just not seeing myself because i was dressing for the trends and not to impress myself which should be the main focus when picking an outfit to go out, it should be comfortable and when you look at yourself in the mirror it's just you in their with your own style and unique identity.

Many aspects of the way people dress today are influenced by global fashion trends and it's something that is natrual in humain behavior that could be changed by just not sticking to what is well knows

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear negative view, especially when you explain that following trends can weaken personal identity and describe looking back at old photos. You also attempt to explain the influence through celebrities, fast fashion, and pressure to fit in. However, the task asks directly how global fashion became so influential, and this explanation remains limited: the Kardashian example is mentioned, but the role of social media, advertising, or international brands is not developed. The comparison between people in the 1990s and 2010s is also difficult to follow and does not fully support the point. The final sentence repeats the topic rather than completing the argument. Develop the causes and support your position with clearer, more specific examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic overall structure: you introduce the topic, discuss examples and personal experience, and then state your negative opinion. The personal reflection about old photographs gives the response a recognisable line of thought. However, progression is often hard to follow because several different points are packed into very long sentences, particularly the paragraph beginning “If we see it in third a prespective.” Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, and phrases such as “for an example” and “for instant” do not reliably guide the reader. The final sentence feels unfinished and repeats the opening. Use clearer paragraph focus, divide long sentences, and make each paragraph advance one main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “fast fashion,” “validation,” and “unique identity,” and these terms help communicate your concern about conformity. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or awkward, such as “stick to familiarty,” “dressing to your own self confident,” and “looking out for validation.” Spelling errors—including “prespective,” “natural y,” “humain,” and “natrual”—are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Repetition of “people,” “dress,” and “trend” also limits variety. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully; this would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt longer sentences and use some subordinate clauses, for example when explaining why you choose familiar outfits and when reflecting on your past clothing choices. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “it become such a strong influence,” “people in the 1990's dress,” and “I be trying a lot of outfits,” where verb forms or tense are not controlled. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also problematic: the opening paragraph contains several clauses joined together without clear separation, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise accurate past and present verb forms, subject–verb agreement, and breaking long sentences into complete units.
