Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, the growing trend of fashion makes people more curious about dressing sense. There are several aspects behind these trends, one of leading factor is social media influencers. All credits goes to the models and other famous personalities who's introduced different fashions all around the globe. People watch them and also try to follow them. The trends of living and wearing simple was a story of a past now, people used to wear brands and things in trending only. This is very alarming for cultures; however, a new fashion industry is growing dramatically.
The global fashion become a trend all over the world and people followed them in their daily lives. The major reason behind global fashion became so popular was social media. The people use social media on daily bases and have access to watch different countries models and fashion shows. Everyone have a easy access of internet so they use social media platforms daily. The platforms such as Instagram and Facbook is key channel for introducing new trends; In addition to, tiktok is new videos platform on that people watch multiple things. If we analyze the bigger picture of these global fashions impact in people lives and reason why these fashion trends has influence on people's, its all due to social media. Although, people don't have assess of globle fashion trends on daily bases before social media.
From my perspective, this is postive development in terms of ecnomic benefits. The fashion industry is leading ecnomic sector in many countries. The clothing is basic needs of humans, nowadays people try to copy models of social media trends. Even people already have a cloths thats are in better condition but they buy new just because of trends. In this condition, the more and more sale the more profit and the more profit the more tax. So this chain leads to ecnomic growth, like in many countries such as france is fashion hub and have ecnomic dependence on fashion industry.
Overall, due to social media people follow these trends and forget their roots and cultures. These trends have beneficial for ecnomic growth.
Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you identify social media as a major reason global fashion spreads, and you give a positive view based on economic benefits. The examples of Instagram, TikTok and France’s fashion industry are relevant. However, the explanation of how these platforms influence people is repeated, while the economic argument is only briefly developed. The conclusion also introduces a concern that people “forget their roots and cultures,” which sits uneasily beside your positive position and is not explained. To strengthen the response, develop the effects on individuals and society with specific reasoning, and make your overall judgement consistent by acknowledging cultural costs while explaining why the benefits outweigh them, or by taking a clearly negative position. (The response meets the task’s length requirement.)
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph explaining social media’s role, a paragraph on economic benefits, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the social-media paragraph repeats the same point in several forms, including “people use social media on daily bases” and “Everyone have a easy access of internet.” Some linking phrases are awkward or do not clarify the relationship between ideas, such as “In addition to” and “Although” before a sentence that does not establish a clear contrast. The final paragraph also shifts from a positive judgement to cultural harm without resolving the tension. Group related points, use references more clearly, and make each paragraph advance one distinct part of the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social media influencers,” “fashion industry,” “economic growth,” and “cultures,” so the main ideas can be understood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “dressing sense” is not a natural way to describe interest in clothing, and “the trends of living and wearing simple was a story of a past” is difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “Facbook,” “globle,” and “postive” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling; vary repeated words such as “trend” and “people” with suitable alternatives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and some relationships between ideas are expressed through clauses, as in “Even people already have a cloths thats are in better condition but they buy new just because of trends.” However, many sentences contain errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction, so the reader sometimes has to work to follow the meaning. Examples include “All credits goes,” “Everyone have a easy access,” and “The global fashion become a trend.” There are also problems with plural forms and punctuation, including the long sentence beginning “If we analyze the bigger picture.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and shorter complex sentences, then proofread each sentence for agreement, articles, and clear punctuation.
