Student answer (Band 5.5)
Global fashion is becoming a strong influence and there positive ,negative development in explaind below.
Today people are influenced by different global fashion trends every body want to be up to date now every one is trying to follow every new trend which other people launched either they are dresses, shoes ,bags or hair accessories people are always focused on new trends.
From my prespective
Positive development of following global fashion trend are people care about themselve they focused on there looks and are concious about it they always try to groom there personality to look different and unique from other .
Negative development of global fashion trend are people are always stress for what other are wearing they always compare there self with other and than for hour and hour think about it which make them depressed they work hard and do there jobs at the end when they take there salarys and buy new trending things such as clothes ,bags ,shoes even if a car or a bike is in trend they even buy those by taking loans which cause difficulty for there future .
From my knowledge and experience in begning i was also only focused on trending items when ever i got my pocket money i was just spending it on clothes and shoes and than for the rest of the month i was not having money to eat something or for other need . but now when ever i get my pocket money i buy only one dress and rest of the pocket money i save for my other need its good to be balanced in life not onlu to focus on one thing

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question by describing positive and negative effects, and your personal example about spending pocket money makes the discussion relevant. However, the explanation of how global fashion became influential is only briefly stated: you mention that people follow trends introduced by others, but do not explain the role of social media, advertising, celebrities, or international brands. Your position is also not fully clear. The opening says there is a positive and negative development, while the conclusion-like final point favours balance without clearly judging whether the overall change is positive or negative. Develop the causes and make your overall view explicit to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation: the response moves from a general introduction to positive and negative effects, then gives a personal example. This helps the reader identify the main topics. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and the ideas are often joined in long, loosely connected sentences. For example, the negative-effects section moves from comparison and stress to salaries, purchases, loans, and future difficulties without clear transitions. Linking phrases such as “From my perspective” and “From my knowledge and experience” signal sections, but the overall structure would be clearer with separate, focused paragraphs and a concluding summary. Use references such as “this pressure” or “these purchases” to connect ideas more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “global fashion trends,” “compare,” “depressed,” “loans,” and “save.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “trend,” “people,” and “buy.” Some choices are unclear or unnatural, such as “groom their personality” and “for hour and hour think about it,” which make parts of the message harder to follow. Spelling errors, including “prespective,” “concious,” and “begning,” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing influence and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and collocations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional-style example about buying items “even if a car or a bike is in trend.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “there positive, negative development,” “every body want,” and “people are always stress,” where sentence structure, agreement, or verb forms are inaccurate. Long sentences also lack reliable punctuation, particularly in the discussion of comparing clothes and spending salaries. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Check subject–verb agreement, possessives, articles, and past-tense forms during proofreading.
