Student answer (Band 5.0)
global fashion has negative influence on individuals life through many aspects of life. Nowadays, dressing of individuals is greatly effected by western culture through many social media platforms. According to my opinion, it is negative developement
the first and foremost reason is the addiction of youth towards modern technology and western culture. Moreover, young generation prefer to spend many hours on social media just to see the globally adopted culture and lifestyles of others. For instance, in Pakistan, people love to follow the dressing of foreign actresses, just to post pictures on instagram and facebook. However, individuals also watch bad contents on Youtube keeping themselves in danger, as they become socially unaware.
secondly, the other reason is the distraction of individuals from their own religion by copying other's trends. To illustrate,in India, majority of the population which are muslims, follow the

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear negative view in the opening, and you begin to explain how social media exposes young people to international styles, using Pakistan as an example. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the explanation of how global fashion became influential is brief, and the second point about religion is unfinished (“follow the…”). The discussion also does not develop the positive-or-negative judgement beyond asserting that it is negative, and the example about watching “bad contents” is not clearly connected to fashion. The response is 110 words below the required minimum, which leaves major parts of the argument unsupported. Develop both task questions fully, complete the examples, and explain the consequences of each point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening gives your position, and “the first and foremost reason” and “secondly” signal separate points. The Pakistan example also follows the point about social media, so the reader can see a basic connection. However, there is no completed conclusion, and the second body point stops mid-sentence, preventing a clear overall progression. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “For instance,” and “However” are used, but “However” does not express a clear contrast with the preceding idea. Use complete paragraphs with one developed point in each, connect examples explicitly to your claims, and finish with a brief conclusion that restates your judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion,” “western culture,” “social media platforms,” and “lifestyles,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “individuals” and “the other reason.” Some word choices and collocations make meaning less natural: “addiction of youth towards modern technology” and “bad contents” do not express your ideas precisely. There are also spelling and form errors, including “developement” and “effected” where “affected” is intended. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for influence, trends, identity, and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “Moreover, young generation prefer to spend many hours on social media just to see…” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range remains limited and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward. Examples include missing articles and agreement in “young generation prefer,” and the incomplete construction “majority of the population which are muslims.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent: several sentences begin without capital letters, and commas are missing after introductory phrases. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clause structures, then proofread punctuation and capitalisation. Clearer sentence control will make your argument easier to follow.
