Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, global fashion heavily influences the way public dress and buy cloths. People wear clothes according to the latest trend in order to fit in their social circles. In recent years the fashion industry has skyrocketed due to the increasing demand of new variety. I think it is a negative development as public buy expensive dresses only because someone else is wearing it.
Firstly, social media has hyped up the need to buy and wear only trendy and costly cloths. Influencers post photos and videos on digital platforms, also induce people to buy only what they think is good or will look beautiful on the viewer. Various such social media influencers such as Cristiano Ronaldo or Kim Kardashian sometime influence public to go and buy specific brand clothes. Especially females often go after this and purchase their outfits as per internet models saying. Thus, global fashions widely spread by social media platforms.
Secondly, Model shows also make people like something which in general they do not purchase. Furthermore, societial norms and traditions help such fashions to grow easily because people usually start to dislike or get apart from someone who doesn't wear dresses upto date. It has been noticed in youngsters that some friends say that one person is wearing old fashion cloths we shoudn't keep him with us at all places. Likewise in career life, our staff and co-workers sometime make us feel that we don't have fashion sense. These things make global fashion strongly influential in people's lives.
To conclude this I believe that it is negative that gobal fashion influences the way people buy and wear clothes. Some individuals waste their money and time on purchasing something which is liked by public at large. It leads to various family, economical and pschological issues hence it should be given less importance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you consider global fashion a negative development, and you address both how it gains influence and its effects. The discussion of social media influencers, fashion shows, peer pressure and workplace expectations gives the response relevant coverage. The examples involving Ronaldo and Kardashian, and friends excluding someone for wearing outdated clothes, help make the points concrete. However, the explanation of how global trends spread is stronger than the evaluation of their consequences. The conclusion mentions financial, family and psychological problems, but these are not explained in detail in the body. To develop the response further, show more clearly how these pressures affect people and support each main claim with a specific explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around sources of influence, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Furthermore” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow. The half-step beyond a basic coherent arrangement is visible in the way the second body paragraph moves from fashion shows to social expectations and then to work. However, some links are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always explicit. For example, the sentence about societal norms follows the point about model shows without explaining how the two connect. Use more precise transitions and clearer referencing, and organise each paragraph around one central claim with its supporting explanation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion,” “social media platforms,” “influencers,” “societal norms” and “psychological issues.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, and phrases such as “fit in their social circles” are appropriate. However, the range and control are limited by repeated general words such as “clothes,” “people” and “fashion,” as well as inaccurate or unnatural choices: “public” for “the public,” “cloths” for “clothes,” and “fashion sense” used in a somewhat repetitive way. Spelling errors such as “gobal,” “pschological” and “shoudn't” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise collocations for consumer pressure and social influence, and proofread spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause in “I think it is a negative development as…” and a relative clause in “something which is liked by public at large.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms recur. For example, “the way public dress and buy” needs an article and a plural subject, while “Influencers post photos and videos…, also induce people” joins two clauses incorrectly. There are also agreement and verb-form problems in “people usually start to dislike or get apart” and “someone else is wearing it.” Aim for more consistently controlled clauses, check subject–verb agreement and articles, and use punctuation to separate complete ideas. These changes would make your varied sentence attempts more reliable.
