Nowadays, many different aspects of how the people are dressing are largely influenced by the global fashion trends. This essay will introduce some of the factors which helped the global fashion to become such a strong influence on peopl's lives. Although global fashion may have its benefits such as, it make people feel more confident, I believe the drawbacks outweigh the advantages.
In recent years, global fashion has become a strong influencer on people's lives. This could be largely due to the effect of the internet. Social media nowadays, is widely distributed throughout the world, and people access it on a daily regular basis. Therefore, global fashion has become such a strong influence on many aspects of people's lives.
On one hand, global fashion has its positive apeal and make people feel more confident. Moreover, it can make people look more sophisticated. However, there are potential drawbacks for these global fashion trends. One of the most serious disadvantags is that people can lose their cultural heritage. In addition, they can see it as a source of humiliation. therefore, the disadvantages of the global fashion trends are more serious than possible advantages.
In conclusion, there are some reasons which make the global fashion trends such a strong influencer on different aspectpeople's lives, such as the internet and the wide spread of social media. Although the benefits of this influence is good, I beleive that the drawbacks of global fashion trends outweigh the advantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a clear overall position: you believe the disadvantages of global fashion outweigh its benefits, and you identify the internet and social media as the main reasons for its influence. However, the task is only partially addressed. The explanation of how online exposure spreads trends is brief, while the negative effects are asserted rather than explained: “people can lose their cultural heritage” and “see it as a source of humiliation” need clarification or a relevant example. The positive side is also only briefly mentioned. The response is 8 words below the required 250-word minimum, which further limits the development of your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain the process and consequences in more detail and support each main point with an example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph about the influence of the internet, a paragraph weighing benefits against drawbacks, and a conclusion. The position is repeated consistently, and linking expressions such as “Therefore,” “Moreover,” and “In addition” help signal relationships. However, progression is limited because the body paragraphs contain few developed points, and the third paragraph shifts from benefits to drawbacks without clearly explaining the contrast. Some linking is mechanical or unclear, particularly “On one hand” followed by “However,” and the conclusion repeats the introduction rather than drawing the argument together. Improve cohesion by organising each paragraph around one clear point and using references and transitions that show how the ideas connect.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “cultural heritage,” “confident,” and “sophisticated.” These choices make the general meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “strong influencer on people's lives,” “positive apeal,” and “wide spread of social media.” Spelling errors, including “peopl's,” “disadvantags,” and “beleive,” also reduce accuracy. Some wording is repetitive, especially repeated references to “global fashion” and “influence.” Build a broader set of precise collocations for discussing media, identity, and cultural change, and proofread spelling and word forms. More accurate phrasing would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few complex structures, including “Although global fashion may have its benefits…” and “One of the most serious disadvantages is that…,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur in both simple and more complex sentences. For example, “how the people are dressing” has an unnecessary article, while “it make people feel more confident” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. In “the benefits of this influence is good,” the plural subject does not agree with “is,” and the sentence structure is awkward. Punctuation and capitalisation also need attention, as in “therefore” after a full stop and the comma after “nowadays.” Practise accurate agreement and articles, then check each sentence for a complete, correctly punctuated structure.
