Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear negative position and identify several relevant effects, including pressure on household income, conflict with religious or cultural expectations, and concern about people copying celebrities. These points address the question’s evaluation of fashion trends. However, the first part—how global fashion became so influential—is only briefly explained through companies hiring celebrities, and the explanation is not extended with a clear example or further detail. Some claims, such as fashion making people “greedy” or “like monkey,” are broad and need explanation to show how they follow from global trends. Your conclusion also introduces a more balanced view without fully reconciling it with the negative position. Develop the causes and support each main effect more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can identify the main points. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Beside,” and “third” signal the intended order. However, progression is sometimes difficult to follow because ideas are added without clear links: the paragraph about cultural acceptance moves quickly to household income, while the next shifts to self-image and competition. Some connectors are inaccurate or repetitive, and sentence boundaries and capitalization make the flow less smooth. Organise each body paragraph around one central idea, then explain it and give an example. Use linking phrases to show relationships between ideas rather than relying mainly on numbered transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global trend,” “household income,” “moral beliefs,” and “celebraties,” and you communicate several distinct concerns. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “negative impact to your society,” “we are become greddy,” and “makes us like monkey.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “fasion,” “devolopment,” “manupulate,” and “unnessesary.” These issues sometimes require the reader to interpret what you mean. Build a more precise set of phrases for influence, spending and social pressure, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example the sentence beginning “The global Big giant company try to launch…” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns and in attempts to combine ideas. Examples include “people are choosing to dressed,” “which is become popular,” “we are try,” and “it is not only create distance.” Subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries are often inaccurate, and inconsistent capitalization and punctuation further affect readability. Practise forming accurate present-simple and present-continuous sentences, then add subordinate clauses only when the basic structure is secure. Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb and complete punctuation.
