Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, it is common global fashion trends impact heavily on people's lives, the way people wear dresses.
From my perspective, it's a negative development because international fashion events mostly models wear expensive dresses, and another thing that is not good in terms of women that the wear very short clothes on events in the fashion events.
The major reason is that many people are interested to watch global fashion event on social media and also they attend physically events, while models in the shows wear the higher brands which is most famous at international level. the dresses that the worn are exorbitant which that many people who are belonging to middle class or lower class can't afford expensive dresses. I believe that many people that watch the global fashion show or follow them it affects the many people against there will specailly womens that they can't afford that types of dresses, so it make negative impact on people and feel them that they are financially poor.
Another drawbacks is that many womens from lower and middle calss spend their money on expensive dresses which influenced from the fashion events. From my view, it is total waste of money because there is also more important thing instead of buying expensive dresses which is not beneficial from them. Furthermore, women models mostly wear short clothes in events which affect heavily on womens which were belong to Islam, where this type of dresses is prohibited in their religion. Due to this in nowdays mostly women change their dresses sense, now they prefer to wear short clothes that no suitable for both women and men.
In conclusion, global fashion shows influenced the most people speacially womens on the ground that dresses that were worn in the events are very expensive, low-social income standars cant afford it. This type of shows made impact heavily on people in terms of income and their religion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear negative view and offer relevant concerns about affordability, spending, and the effect of revealing clothing on people whose religious beliefs discourage it. However, the task asks both how global fashion became influential and whether this is positive or negative. Your explanation of influence is limited mainly to people watching fashion events on social media or attending them; you could explain more broadly how social platforms, celebrities, advertising, and international brands spread trends. Several claims, such as women changing their clothing choices, are asserted without a specific example or fuller explanation. The response therefore addresses the main parts, but some ideas remain under-developed and the explanation of how influence grows is less complete than your negative position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The body paragraphs group related concerns, and signposts such as “The major reason,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, progression within sentences is sometimes difficult to track, particularly in the first body paragraph, where the ideas about fashion shows, expensive brands, and feeling financially poor run together. References such as “them” and “this type of shows” are not always clear, and connectors occasionally introduce ideas without a precise relationship. To strengthen the organisation, give each paragraph a clear controlling point and use shorter sentences to show how each example supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “international level,” “exorbitant,” and “financially poor,” and you attempt to express ideas about affordability and religious values. However, the range is limited by repeated words such as “people,” “dresses,” and “events,” while several choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “wear dresses,” “higher brands,” and “change their dresses sense.” Spelling errors such as “Nowdays,” “specailly,” and “calss” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; for example, distinguish between fashion shows, clothing, brands, and consumer spending.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because,” “while,” and “where,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently. For example, “it is common global fashion trends impact” lacks a grammatical link, and “the dresses that the worn” has an incorrect verb construction. There are also problems with agreement and sentence formation in “it make negative impact” and “many women … spend their money … which influenced.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, including the lowercase “the” after a full stop and long sentences joined by commas. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and separating complete ideas into sentences before adding subordinate clauses.
