Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both questions by mentioning confidence and cultural influence, and your conclusion makes your view broadly clear: global fashion has benefits but can weaken appreciation of local clothing and brands. However, the explanation of how fashion became influential is only partial. You refer to people being inspired by trends and connecting with others who share their interests, but do not explain the wider forces that spread trends, such as social media, celebrities, or international brands. The positive and negative points are also asserted rather than developed with specific examples. The response is 23 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each main point with a clear reason and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. The body paragraphs also attempt to separate benefits from drawbacks. However, progression is limited: the first body paragraph begins with “On the one hand,” and the next repeats the same phrase, even though it introduces the opposing view. Some links between ideas are unclear, particularly the long sentence about inspiration, connections, and confidence. The conclusion repeats points from the introduction rather than bringing them together in a more precise final judgement. Use contrasting transitions such as “On the other hand,” and organise each paragraph around one main idea, followed by its explanation and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “confidence,” “cultural clothing,” and “local business,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the meaning less clear. For example, “fashioned had an effect” and “fashion of clothings” do not express the intended ideas naturally, while “global fashioned trends” is an incorrect form. There are also spelling errors such as “ther” and “fashoined.” Aim for accurate collocations and consistent word forms, and use more precise terms for the forces and effects you discuss. Proofreading for spelling and repeated wording would improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast in the introduction and a concluding sentence that brings together positive and negative effects. However, the longer structures are often faulty, and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, “the way of dressing by individual … are influenced” has problems with sentence structure and subject–verb agreement, while “this may also had a drawbacks” uses an incorrect verb form and article/plural pattern. The sentence beginning “for instance in this generations” also contains several grammatical problems and becomes difficult to follow. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas using accurate clauses. Check agreement, verb forms, articles, and singular/plural nouns before submitting.
