Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many aspects of the way people dressing choise are influanced by global fashion trends. Nowdays people watch many fashion show and modeling contest, which encourage them to dress like them. I think has both poitive and negative impact on society.
First of all, Young prople watch many fashion show where international fatchion designer introduces their new fashion designing. people tend to follow them and the domestic fashion designing and garments companies copy these design to increase their sale. People also demand for these new design clothing. Another reason is is that, espasilly the young people use different social media and follows many popular actors, celebraty and models. These prominant figures were sponsored by many rekown fatchion designing and garments brand in order to promote their product. People follow their fatchion and looks and buy dress like them. A good example can be baggy pants, which is seen to ware by many actors and models. Therefore people are copying their styles all over the world. The fatchion industry is are behind these newly invented design. The latest design dress are also sold in high prices. The popular fatchion brands are opening their branches all over the world and their price was high compared to the local clothings.
For western fatchion industry it is a positive impact. Infact the majority of fashion industry was dominated by western fashion industry. If we talk about the influance in people life it is mostly positive if they are more selective about choosing what they select for wearing. All of the global fashions are not suitable for general people. Also there is some disadvantages for example, these global fashion can destroy many countries cultural and traditional wearings.
In conclution the global fatchion industry has a large influance on people life most of them is positive, but there is some negative influance as well. people should be more selective about what they are wearing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain how global fashion spreads through fashion shows, social media, celebrity promotion and international brands, and you give a qualified view that it has positive and negative effects. The baggy-pants example helps make the influence concrete. However, the positive side is less fully explained than the causes of fashion’s influence: the claim that it is positive when people choose selectively is not supported with a clear benefit or example. The negative effect on traditional clothing is relevant but also brief. To strengthen the response, develop each judgement with a specific consequence and explain how it affects people’s lives, while keeping your overall position clear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining the spread of trends, a paragraph evaluating their effects, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Another reason,” and “Therefore” help readers follow the main points. However, the first body paragraph combines several causes and consequences in a long sequence, so the progression is not always easy to track. Some links are mechanical or unclear, and the shift from explaining influence to discussing whether it is positive could be smoother. Group the causes into clearer stages—for example, media promotion and consumer demand—and use more precise references to connect each example to the main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “social media,” “sponsored,” “promote,” and “traditional wearings,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “international fashion designer” and “garments companies.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, including “fashion designing,” “follow their fashion and looks,” and “new design clothing.” Spelling errors such as “influance,” “fatchion,” and “celebraty” are frequent enough to distract the reader. Build a reliable set of topic phrases and check spelling; use natural combinations such as “fashion designers introduce new collections” and “consumers imitate celebrities’ styles.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if they are more selective about choosing what they select for wearing” and a relative clause in “baggy pants, which is seen to ware by many actors and models.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “people … follows” and “The latest design dress are,” while sentence construction is faulty in “I think has both positive and negative impact.” Articles, plurals and punctuation also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses; proofreading for subject–verb agreement and complete sentence structure would improve clarity.
