Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, many varies aspects of the way people dress today are mostly influenced by global fashion trends set by public figures as it has become a widely debated issue. While some people believe that its the individuals personal choices or self-discovery. I strongly agree with the view that people are being influenced by celebrities or influencers from social platforms to follow a particular trend of fashion and styled clothes.
The primary reason why this view is that, people follow or are interested in certain global or celebrity figures that have a large influences on. In other words, they tend to follow what the figure does globally and mostly these follower try to match the outfits as their favorite celebrity. For example, a die-heart fan of a Kpop artist would follow the artist's fashion style.
Another important factor to consider is that it would be excellent way to follow a trend that is popular amongst the generation or group as following the trend can help the individuals to stay in the current trends and informations about fashion and lots of influencers help viewers on how to be presentable in a group of people. For instance, social media influencer help people who struggle to fit in the trends of fashion through posting videos on ongoing trends and fashions of global stars in an affordable range of price and how to look likable.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that following the way global stars or influencers wear is not negative entirely. Moreover, it helps the citizens to be up-to dayed with global current clothing trends and won't feel isolated because of their dressing styles. People should take only the positive factors the fashion styles and also that is appropriate to the place and situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view: global fashion influence is not entirely negative, and you explain that celebrities and social-media influencers help spread trends. The examples of a K-pop fan copying an artist and influencers showing affordable outfits are relevant. However, the task asks both how global fashion became so influential and whether this is positive or negative. Your explanation focuses mainly on who influences people, with limited detail about how global reach, online platforms, or rapid sharing make trends widespread. The positive effects are explained, but the negative side is only briefly acknowledged through “not negative entirely,” without a specific drawback or balanced evaluation. Develop both parts more fully by explaining the mechanisms of influence and weighing benefits against a clear disadvantage. The response meets the required length; eight words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each body paragraph has a main focus, and examples generally follow the points they illustrate. Linking phrases such as “In other words,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. The opening sentence introduces public figures, then the next sentence shifts to individual choice without completing the contrast. In the second body paragraph, the move from following trends to staying informed and appearing presentable could be connected more explicitly. Use clearer topic sentences and make each paragraph develop one central idea in a logical sequence; also ensure pronouns such as “it” and “they” have unmistakable references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to fashion and social influence, including “global fashion trends,” “social platforms,” “outfits,” and “presentable.” Phrases such as “fit in” and “feel isolated” also help express the social effects of clothing choices. However, the range is limited in places, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning less precise. Examples include “a large influences on,” “current trends and informations,” and “up-to-dayed.” There are also repeated uses of “trend,” “fashion,” and “influencer,” so the argument can sound repetitive. Build a more precise range for explaining how trends spread and their effects, and check word forms, spelling, and natural combinations of words. This would make your ideas clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while,” “as,” and “because.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message is usually understandable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “While some people believe that its the individuals personal choices or self-discovery” is an incomplete sentence, while “The primary reason why this view is that” lacks a grammatical construction. Agreement and sentence structure also need attention in “these follower try” and “social media influencer help.” Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check possessives, singular/plural agreement, and punctuation. Separating longer ideas into shorter, accurate sentences will improve control.
