Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the mordren world, the choice of clothing for many individual is heavily shaped by internation fashion treands. This eassy will discuess how global fashion and digitall media have driven fashion and develpment .Why is this tread maily nagtive.

On the first hand , people are most like wear a fashionmable clothes lijke jeans, shorts and pjamas. they are also thinging wearing this clothes look like modren and show the rich person. that"s why people wear a this clothes .but some time we wear a trastional cloths in some places, like tample, gurduwara shabia. we wear a fashionable clothes in this places.,

However, I belive that this dominaant gloabl infience is a negtive develop ment for society. The main reson is that it leads to the loss of traditional cultural identical clothes, such as weastern style jeans and t shirts, unique local traditial begin to disappers. For example in many asian country traditional attire is now rarely worn except during special festival.additionally, the fast fashion industry countributes signioficantly to enivronmental pollution because people constantly discard old clothes to buy newer trends, creating massive amounts of textille waste.

In conclusion, global fashion has become highly infuential because of mass media and affordable international retail chains.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear negative view, especially when explaining that global styles may displace traditional clothing and that fast fashion creates textile waste. These are relevant ideas, and the examples of traditional attire at festivals and clothing worn in places of worship help illustrate them. However, the task is only partly addressed: the explanation of how global fashion became influential is brief, and the opening mentions digital media and international trends without developing how they affect people. The first body paragraph is also difficult to follow, so its point about why people choose fashionable clothes is not fully clear. The response is 47 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support both parts of the question. Develop the causes and your examples more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: an introduction, a paragraph about clothing choices, a paragraph presenting your negative view, and a conclusion. The contrast marker “However” helps signal a shift to your main position, and “For example” introduces supporting detail. Nevertheless, the overall progression is not consistently clear. The first body paragraph moves from fashionable clothing to social status and then to traditional clothes in religious places without explaining how these points connect. The conclusion mentions mass media and retail chains but does not summarise the negative effects discussed earlier. Some linking phrases, such as “On the first hand,” are also used inaccurately. Give each paragraph one clear purpose, connect examples explicitly to its main idea, and make the conclusion reflect your full argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global fashion,” “traditional attire,” “environmental pollution,” and “textile waste.” These phrases show an effort to discuss cultural and environmental consequences rather than relying only on basic clothing terms. However, the range is limited and many spelling errors make the message harder to read, for example “mordren,” “internation,” “treands,” and “disappers.” Some word choices or combinations are unclear, such as “show the rich person” and “traditional cultural identical clothes.” Use more precise expressions and check spelling carefully; accurate, natural phrasing will make your ideas easier to understand. You could also use topic-specific terms such as “social media exposure,” “consumer demand,” and “cultural identity” where they fit your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including a reason clause with “because” and a result clause about discarded clothes “creating massive amounts of textile waste.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “people are most like wear” does not form a correct verb pattern, while “people constantly discard old clothes to buy newer trends” needs a clearer grammatical relationship between buying and discarding. Several sentences begin with lowercase letters or run together, and the opening contains an incomplete question-like fragment. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “which,” and “although.” Proofread for sentence boundaries and consistent capitalisation.
