Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, people dress today are infuenced by global fashion trendds as global fashion have become influenced by digital connectivity and aggresive commercialization. In my consideration, it is a destructive development and reasons for the same will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs.

To commence with, there are ample of factors that shows this trend has a negative impact. The most preponderant one is, loss of cultural heritage through this our indian culture has destroyed almost as a result fashion designers mainly stitch western and non-indian cultural dresses and also in demand of the market all over the world whether the customer is indian or not. Tradtional dresses are not wearing and dressing up by most of the indian citizens to demostrate their heritage. The another factor is environmental damages, whenever designers prepare clothes for the fashion shows and competitions as a result they design many attries of different cultures and they will used lots of fabric which in result harms the environment.

Probing ahead, the another significant factor is that financial and psychological pressure creates by use of high financial to make the different attires and leading to consumer debts, pressure to overspend due to many orders of customers in lesser time. This involves and require a huge amount of financials to purchase a textiles and related accessiores used in to design a cloth to look attrative and become a strong influence globally this leads to high pressure of work load and usage of more debts of consumers.

After analysing the facts of matter, it can be concluded that global fashion trend to become a strong influence on people's lives only let them in a burden in a competitions but in some situtations it will shows to get out of the box ideas for designing attires and by which consumers will see the heritage of diffferent countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear negative view, and the response includes relevant concerns about cultural heritage, environmental harm, and financial pressure. However, the task asks both how global fashion became influential and whether this is positive or negative. The opening briefly names digital connectivity and commercialisation, but these causes are not explained or supported with examples. Most of the essay discusses disadvantages, while the final reference to creative ideas and seeing other cultures is brief and does not fully clarify your overall judgement. To strengthen the response, explain how social media, advertising, and international brands shape clothing choices, then develop a smaller number of effects with specific examples and a consistent conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly group related points: cultural and environmental effects first, then financial pressure. This gives the response some overall organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, particularly in the second body paragraph, where costs, customer orders, workload, and debt are combined without clear links. Connectors such as “To commence with,” “Probing ahead,” and “After analysing” sound formulaic, while “the another” is repeated and does not help the reader follow the argument. Use clearer topic sentences and develop each point in a logical sequence, with pronouns and linking phrases that make relationships between ideas explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural heritage,” “commercialization,” “consumer debts,” and “financial pressure.” These choices show an effort to discuss fashion’s wider effects rather than relying only on basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the intended meaning hard to interpret. Examples include “preponderant one,” “many attires,” “financials,” and “get out of the box ideas”; spellings such as “infuenced,” “Tradtional,” and “diffferent” also reduce clarity. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “traditional clothing,” “fabric consumption,” and “pressure to spend,” and check spelling carefully. A smaller set of precise expressions would communicate your ideas more effectively than ambitious but unclear wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including explanations linked with “as a result” and “which,” but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. For example, “global fashion have become influenced” has incorrect agreement and an unclear verb relationship, while “Tradtional dresses are not wearing and dressing up” uses an incorrect passive construction. The sentence beginning “The most preponderant one is” also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and several long sentences run together without effective punctuation. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check articles, plurals, verb forms, and sentence boundaries during revision.
