Student answer (Band 4.5)

In recent year, The rise of the way people dress today are influenced by global fashion trends has sparked intense debate. In my opinion, the advantage of this development clearly outweight the disadvantage.

On the one hand, there are clear benefits to this trend, primary among which is fashion shows personality of a person and a person wear proper dress the it can increase the confident for example a person working in law firm then he or she must wear the proper formal wear with perfect iron because it will increase there confident during work.

Furthermore, the proper dressing can attract people to words them by that a person can communicate easily with any body for example a person is an sales men then he must wear proper dress so he can communicate with any body and other person get trust on him this the power of dressing. It create illusion among us for example a person not having any money but he is well dress the all person will aggred with him.

So at last I conclude, with saying that dress today are influenced by global fashion trends are good for all person. It has positive side that why I aggri on this deasion

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear opinion that global fashion is positive, and your examples about formal clothing in a law firm and a salesperson show an attempt to support your view. However, the response only minimally addresses the question: it explains possible benefits of dressing well but does not explain how global fashion trends became influential, such as through social media, celebrities, advertising, or international brands. The ideas about confidence and trust are repeated and only briefly developed, and the conclusion adds little. The response is 185 words, below the required 250; 20 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To improve, address both questions directly and develop each point with explanation and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with “On the one hand” and “Furthermore,” and a concluding sentence. This makes the main direction reasonably easy to follow. However, there is no clear progression from explaining the influence of global fashion to evaluating whether it is positive or negative. The two body paragraphs largely repeat the idea that appropriate clothing helps people feel confident or gain trust, and links such as “for example” are used repeatedly without clearly separating the explanation from the example. Some references, including “by that” and “this the power of dressing,” are difficult to follow. Organise the response around distinct points and use clearer links between claims, explanations, and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “formal wear,” “confident,” and “communicate,” so the reader can identify the general topic and your intended benefits. However, the range is basic and repetitive, especially with repeated uses of “proper dress” and “person.” Several word choices or forms make meaning less clear: “attract people to words them” and “get trust on him” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “outweight,” “aggred,” and “aggri” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations; for instance, describe clothing as “appropriate attire” and say it can “help establish trust.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example with “then” and “because,” and you use a few simple sentence forms that communicate your general opinion. However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. The opening sentence, “In recent year, The rise … has sparked,” is difficult to parse, while “fashion shows personality of a person” and “It create illusion” have agreement or article problems. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, including the capital letter in “The” after the opening comma. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them accurately; check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
