Student answer (Band 6.0)
In modern times, many people are influenced by global fasion while selecting their outfits. This development happened due to the spread of mass media or mondern technologies. In my perspective, copying others culture and forgeting own tradition is not a good thing. For that reason, I think it is a negative development.
There are some positive sides of dressing like global stars or trying new outfits of our favourite icon. In the past, when people had not the access of internet, they only tried limited fashionable clothes that are locally present in their market. But with the help of social media, people can now follow famous and stylish celebrities. Moreover, they can also make dresses like them and can also modify the design accodring to their preferences. In addition, by doing this some conent creators are becoming famous and can earn money through this. For example, Pakistani inspired dresses are now becoming famous day by day in Bangladesh. So, many brands are making these types of dresses and earning money through this.
However, on the other hand, there are some negative sides of this development. Firstly, we are blindly copying others dressing, without considering our tradition and culture. Secondly, we are copying other desings without giving credit to the original desinger. Most importantly, people are cheated while buying the duplicated or inspired dresses at a high prices, thinking that it might be original one which can lead to a serious issue. For example, we are following the fashion of Western culture which is totally opposite from ours and we are wearing tops and jeans like them. Moreover, we are not showing proper respect to our traditional dresses. As a result, these kind of dresses can be disappeared from our culture in the long run.
In conclusion, opinions may vary, in my opinion, the negative aspects of following the global fashion outweigh the positive aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your response addresses both parts of the question: you explain the influence of social media and celebrity fashion, and you clearly judge the trend to be negative overall. The examples of creators earning money and Pakistani-inspired clothing becoming popular in Bangladesh help make the discussion relevant. You also acknowledge benefits before presenting drawbacks. However, the explanation of how global fashion became influential could be developed beyond access to the internet and social media, and some points—such as copying designs without credit and being cheated when buying duplicates—are introduced without enough explanation of their wider significance. Your position is clear, but fuller development and support for these ideas would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Firstly,” and “As a result” help readers follow the sequence. The progression from social media’s influence to cultural effects is generally understandable. At times, however, the connections feel mechanical or repetitive, particularly with “Moreover” and the paired phrase “However, on the other hand.” Some references are also unclear: “these kind of dresses” does not precisely identify which garments you mean, and the conclusion’s opening phrase, “opinions may vary, in my opinion,” is awkwardly joined. More varied transitions and clearer referencing would make the flow smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to discuss fashion and culture, including “global fashion,” “celebrities,” “traditional dresses,” and “duplicated or inspired dresses.” Some choices show an attempt to express specific ideas, such as “modify the design according to their preferences.” However, spelling errors are noticeable, including “fasion,” “mondern,” “forgeting,” “accodring,” and “desinger,” and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “locally present in their market” and “at a high prices.” Repetition of “copying” and “dresses” also limits flexibility. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; this would make your meaning more fluent and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional clause in “when people had not the access of internet” and a relative clause in “which can lead to a serious issue.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentences awkward. For example, “people had not the access” has an incorrect article and construction, while “these kind of dresses can be disappeared” has problems with agreement and the passive form. The sentence beginning “In conclusion, opinions may vary” also joins two independent ideas with a comma. Work on articles, agreement, passive constructions, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to practise complex clauses with accurate forms.
