Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task effectively. You explained the key arrangements, provided instructions for the train station, and mentioned your arrival time and plans for the evening. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a family member. However, the content is slightly inconsistent; for instance, you mention leaving breakfast and the TV remote, but then state your friend will pick them up and stay with them, which makes the initial home-access details slightly confusing. To improve, ensure that the logistical details are logically consistent throughout the letter to avoid any ambiguity for the reader.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Since', 'But', and 'As', which help the flow of ideas. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though the connection between the friend picking them up and the earlier mention of the house keys could be smoother. Overall, the message is easy to follow, and the paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different topics requested in the instructions.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a good range of vocabulary, such as 'over the moon', 'quality of time', and 'explore'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'reaching at home' (should be 'arriving home') and 'boring' (should be 'bored'). Additionally, there are some spelling errors like 'pne' (one), 'exaclty' (exactly), and 'vaccations' (vacations). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, focus on refining your spelling and ensuring that collocations are used more naturally in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, such as 'she have a day off' (should be 'she has') and 'you do not feels' (should be 'you do not feel'). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'Since due to my morning shift'. While these errors are frequent, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions after verbs like 'arrive' or 'reach'.
