IELTS Writing Task 1 question
A family member is coming to stay with you. He/she will be arriving by train in the morning, but you won’t be home until the evening.

Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Ray,
I am excited to see you and are going to stay no with me. I am writing to inform you that the time you are arriving, I will be at work and could not get day off.
I will leave the keys with my next door neighbour as she stays home.You can ask her as i would inform her about you and she will give you the keys to enter. Moreover, I would prepare some food for you to eat after reaching home because i know its little overwhelming from travel for 5 hours. You can have rest after freshen up and have the food as I will get back by 6 in the evening.
Further, in order to reach home try to take 601 bus from station or book a cab by entering the address. These two ways would save you time and comfortable journey.
I will be home around 6 pm and I have plans to make your stay interesting. I bought couple of your favourite video games and would play after having dinner.
