Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt, which is excellent. You explained the key arrangements, provided instructions for the journey, and suggested evening activities. However, the instructions specifically asked how the relative would get the keys to enter the house, and your response is slightly vague here; you mention a taxi but do not explicitly state how they will access the property (e.g., leaving a key with a neighbor or a lockbox). To reach a higher band, ensure every part of the prompt is addressed with specific, practical details. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a family member, maintaining a friendly and personal style throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'Once', which help the flow of ideas. However, the paragraphing is a bit inconsistent, and some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The referencing is generally clear, though the connection between the taxi arrangement and the house access could be smoother. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus to enhance the overall logical progression of your message.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using phrases like 'urgent company meeting' and 'conveniently'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and minor errors, such as 'chose to spent' (should be 'chose to spend') and 'Yours well wisher' (should be 'Yours well-wisher' or 'Best wishes'). Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'share couple of arrangements'. To move into the higher bands, try to incorporate more precise collocations and ensure that your verb forms and word endings are consistently accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'It is going be cheerful day' (missing 'a'), 'I have been done' (should be 'I have made'), and 'Once I reached at home will have' (missing subject 'I'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions to improve your accuracy.
