tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house

Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Rashi,
I hope you are doing well. Actually the reason to writing this letter inform you that I will not be at home at that morning you are arriving to stay with me next week but I will be with you in the evening.
So, first of all after reaching the train station, you can send me a text message that you arrived. Then I will arrange a taxi for you which will straight drop you off at my home door.
After that you have to go to my neighbours to have keys to open the door of my house. I will tell them your name so they can give you keys. There will be some food in the fridge also.
Although I will not be with you during day that day, I will back home in the evening that day. I have arranged some dinner at your favourite restaurent and then we will watch a movie at our home.
I am waiting for you, thank you for coming
Yours faithfully,
Simranjit

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You clearly explained the key arrangements, provided instructions for reaching your home, and suggested evening activities. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a family member. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, the instructions for the keys could be more specific, and the description of the evening plans is quite brief. To reach a higher band, try to expand on your ideas with more detail or descriptive language to make the letter feel more natural and engaging while still maintaining the required focus.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized, with each paragraph focusing on a specific requirement of the prompt. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'So', 'first of all', 'After that', and 'Although' to link your ideas. While the progression is clear, the use of these devices is sometimes a bit mechanical. To improve, try to vary your transitions and ensure that the flow between sentences feels more natural. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the overall structure is easy to follow, which is a strength of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use words like 'arrangements', 'favourite', and 'restaurant' correctly. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'the reason to writing' (should be 'the reason for writing') and 'straight drop you off' (should be 'drop you off directly'). You also rely on some repetitive phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more varied and precise vocabulary to describe your plans and feelings, which will help your writing sound more sophisticated and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical slips throughout the text, such as 'at that morning' (should be 'on that morning'), 'I will back home' (should be 'I will be back home'), and 'at our home' (should be 'at home'). Additionally, the closing 'Yours faithfully' is typically used for formal letters to people you do not know; for a family member, 'Best wishes' or 'Love' would be more appropriate. Increasing your control over prepositions and verb forms will help improve your accuracy.
