explain arrangements you have made for them to have keys and get into the house
tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house

Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Deep,
I am so glad to hear that you are coming to live with me for few days and I am sorry I will not be aviable to pick you up from the station brother and I have a urgent meeting that day and I will see you in the evening.
Our childhood friend Rohit is also living in the same residential area where I live and you know him well and I am thinking to handover the house keys to him so that you will not face any difficulty and get into the house easily.
When train reached the breamlea station you can take bus no. 5E and will reach home in about 20 minutes and then 2 minutes walk . You will find our house no 35 on morning star drive. I will be at home around 5'o clock then we will go on in a resort to try your favorite food and will play video game after dinner at home.
I am excited to see you soon.
With love AMan

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly explained the key arrangement involving your friend Rohit, provided specific directions from the station, and outlined your evening plans. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a family member. To improve, ensure that you fully develop your ideas; for instance, while you mention the bus, adding a bit more detail about how to identify the correct stop or the specific bus station exit would make the instructions even more helpful and demonstrate a higher level of task fulfillment.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized logically, with each paragraph focusing on one of the required points. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat limited and occasionally repetitive. For example, the frequent use of 'and' to connect clauses makes the flow feel a bit mechanical. Using a wider variety of linking words such as 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' or 'once you arrive' would help the ideas transition more smoothly. Paragraphing is present, but the structure could be more refined to separate the logistical information from the personal invitation more clearly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. There are some spelling errors, such as 'aviable' instead of 'available' and 'handover' (which should be two words as a verb: 'hand over'). While the vocabulary is adequate for the task, it is somewhat basic. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise collocations or descriptive language, such as 'collect the keys' instead of 'handover the house keys' or 'conveniently located' instead of 'living in the same residential area'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'I have a urgent meeting' (should be 'an'), 'When train reached' (missing article 'the'), and 'go on in a resort' (incorrect preposition). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of apostrophes (e.g., '5'o clock'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency and accuracy of the writing.
