Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt: explaining the key arrangements, providing directions from the station, and suggesting evening plans. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a family member. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the directions from the station are missing entirely; you mention a cab but do not explain how the relative gets from the station to your house. Additionally, the instruction about the back door is slightly unclear. To improve, ensure you provide specific details for each bullet point to fully satisfy the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your message. You use some cohesive devices like 'After that' and 'In last' (though 'Finally' would be more natural). However, the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and punctuation errors, such as the comma splice in 'I already booked a table for our dinner in a restuarent, So hopefully...'. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall progression could be smoother with more varied linking words and better control over sentence boundaries.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message, using words like 'precious', 'unfortunately', and 'excitements'. However, there are several errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'listened this news' (should be 'hearing this news'), 'restuarent' (spelling), and 'alots of' (should be 'a lot of'). While these errors do not prevent communication, they indicate a need for more attention to collocations and standard spelling to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I hope your are doing well' (your/you're), 'I will left the door' (should be 'I will leave'), and 'I will prepared lunch' (should be 'I will prepare'). These errors are noticeable and occur in basic verb tenses and pronoun usage. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage, as these errors currently limit your score in this criterion.
