IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A family member is coming to stay with you. He/she will be arriving by train in the morning, but you won’t be home until the evening.

• explain arrangements you have made for them to have keys and get into the house

• tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house

• say when you will be home and suggest what you could do together that evening

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear uncle,

I hope this letter finds you in radiant health.

As I am not at home, when you will be there by morning, however I will hand out the keys to my neighbour, who is living at right side of my house. Just ring his home bell and take the keys of the front enterrance.

When you will reach the delhi railway station than you will see the bus stop just behind the Bristra cafe. From the bus stand take 102 bus, get it off by queen street. Then you can see the house number on 1274 on right side of bus stand .

I am really sorry that I have to go for an importent meeting on that day but I will be at home by 6pm. I planed a special dinner for us at Maharaja hotel, which is famous for cultural cusine. Afterthat, we will go see the Dharam temple, it has reach history behind and will click some picture as memory for us.
