IELTS Writing Task 1 question
A family member is coming to stay with you. He/she will be arriving by train in the morning, but you won’t be home until the evening.

Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear John Uncle,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to apologize, we will not be able to receive you from the train station and also will get home by the evening.
I feel disguise, that we will not be able to pick you from the station. Unfortunately, my grandmother is sick and her operation date is scheduled on the same day of your arrival. I have asked our Neighbors, they will give you the access to our house.
Your train will arrive at 2;30pm at platform number 1. As soon as you come out from the railway station you will see plenty of Rikshaws, most of them know about our house but if they ask for the location tell them the address, I have provided.
We will get home by 7pm and can go out for a dinner on the same day. Their is a famous Italian restaurant newly opened in our city , will order pizzas and pastas and will end up our night eating the same ice-cream we used to eat in our childhood.
I apologize again for the inconvenience but can not wait to see you. Let me know if you have any concerns.
