Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly explained the key arrangements involving your friend Ramish, provided instructions on how your relative will reach the house, and specified your return time along with suggestions for the evening. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a family member. To improve, ensure that the opening and closing salutations are more standard; 'Respectful Alina' is not a natural way to address a relative in English. A simple 'Dear Alina' would be more appropriate for this task type.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is generally easy to follow, and the information is presented in a logical order. However, the paragraphing is quite weak; the entire body of the letter is presented as one block of text, which makes it harder to read. Using clear paragraph breaks to separate the key arrangements, the directions, and the evening plans would significantly improve the structure. Additionally, while you use some cohesive devices like 'but' and 'that's why', the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use some relevant phrases such as 'international clients' and 'fresh meal'. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'receive you from train station' (should be 'pick you up from the train station') and 'give him House keys' (should be 'give him the house keys'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision or variety that would be expected at a higher band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, particularly with articles (e.g., 'at my home', 'at train station') and punctuation (e.g., spaces before commas). Some sentences are slightly fragmented, such as 'I am very excited to see you at my home it's been so long we lived together', which is a run-on sentence. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on sentence boundaries and article usage will help improve your accuracy.
