tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house

Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Ami,
I hope you are doing well.
I am happy to hear that you are comimg to stay with me. Unfortunately, I will not be home until the evening because I have to work till 5 p.m.
I will make some arrangements for you before leaving my home for work. I will give spare keys to my neighbour. You can collect the keys from her by showing her ID. she is living next to my house.there is no worry because she is already know that you are coming. You can do some rest after taking showering.
As you are arriving by train, you can take auto from station to my society which takes around 15 minuts. If you are not comfortable with auto, you can take city bus number 15 which stops near my home.
I will probably reach at home at 6 p.m. In the evening, we will have delicious dinner at famous restaurant nearby. We can also have short bike trip if you want.
I can't wait to see you.
Best wishes,
Khushbu

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the task. You clearly explain the key arrangements by mentioning that the spare keys will be with your neighbour and detailing how Ami can collect them. You also provide clear instructions for getting from the train station to your house, offering options like an auto or city bus number 15. Finally, you state your arrival time as 6 p.m. and suggest activities for the evening, such as visiting a famous restaurant or going for a short bike trip. All bullet points are covered appropriately, and the tone is suitably friendly and semi-formal, demonstrating a clear purpose throughout the letter.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
There is a clear logical organization and progression throughout the letter. The message is broken down into appropriate paragraphs, each addressing a specific point from the prompt, such as initial greetings and work hours, key arrangements, travel directions, and evening plans. You use logical transitions and cohesive devices to connect your ideas. For example, moving smoothly from arrival details to transport options with phrases like 'As you are arriving by train'. Referencing is generally clear, though paragraphing could be slightly refined by separating shorter sentences to enhance the overall flow even further.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing a sufficient range to convey your message clearly. You attempt some less common expressions and context-specific terms, such as 'spare keys', 'society', and 'delicious dinner'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors, awkward word choices, and spelling mistakes that prevent the response from achieving a higher band. For instance, 'comimg' contains a spelling error, 'take auto' lacks the necessary article 'an', 'doing some rest' is unnatural collocation compared to 'take some rest', and 'taking showering' should simply be 'taking a shower'. Improving word forms and natural collocations will significantly enhance your lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
Your writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to vary your grammatical structures. You successfully construct sentences with subordinate clauses, such as 'Unfortunately, I will not be home until the evening because I have to work till 5 p.m.' and 'If you are not comfortable with auto, you can take city bus...'. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly with articles, capitalization, and verb forms. Examples include missing capitalization at the start of sentences like 'she is living next to my house' and 'there is no worry because she is already know that you are coming', where 'is already know' is also a passive voice error. Refining basic agreement, articles, and punctuation control will help elevate your grammatical accuracy.
