Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three required points: you explain where the keys are, give a way to travel from the station, and say when you expect to return and what you have planned. The practical details—“under the doormat,” taking a taxi, and a dinner reservation—make the message relevant and useful. However, some points are less fully explained than others. “I send you location” does not specify how you will send it, and “just 20 minute from train station” is not entirely clear about whether this refers to travel time or distance. The evening plan is also quite brief. Clarifying these details and developing the arrangements slightly would make the response more complete and precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The information follows a generally sensible order: you greet Raman, explain the key and travel arrangements, then discuss your return and dinner. This makes the message understandable overall. However, the response is presented in one continuous block, so the different stages of the visit are not clearly separated. Some connections between ideas are also abrupt, as in “keys of my house are under the doormat, when you come to house take the keys,” where the instructions could be divided and linked more clearly. The repeated use of “you” and “I” also makes the message feel list-like. Use short paragraphs and clearer sequencing phrases, such as “When you arrive” and “In the evening,” to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the main arrangements, including “train station,” “doormat,” “main door,” “urgent meeting,” and “booked a table.” These choices help the reader understand the situation. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make the writing less clear, including “appologice,” “spacial restorant,” and “I send you location.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “come my home” and “have a plan for dinner.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording for travel directions and the evening plan would make the message easier to follow and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response communicates its main meaning, and you attempt to combine ideas using clauses, for example, “I am trying to come back as soon as possibale” and “when you come to house take the keys.” However, the sentence structures are mostly simple, and errors in verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries occur across the message. For example, “tomorrow morning I am go” needs a future form, while “keys of my house are under the doormat, when you come to house” joins instructions without a clear grammatical break. “In kichen have some food” also lacks a subject. Practise accurate future forms and complete sentence patterns, and use full stops to separate instructions.
