Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the main situation and include arrangements for the keys, travel from the station, your return, and an evening activity. The suggestion to watch a favourite movie is relevant, and mentioning snacks and Mrs Patel offers extra practical help. However, some key details are unclear or incomplete: “I have already arranged things” is vague, and the directions rely on Mr Patel collecting your sister without explaining how she will identify him or what to do if he is not there. The key handover is also difficult to understand. Develop these arrangements more explicitly and make the route or pickup plan unmistakable so every part of the task is fully covered.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure: an opening, paragraphs about arrival arrangements and food, and a closing paragraph about your plans together. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement. However, progression within the arrival paragraph is sometimes hard to follow, particularly in “I already told my train he will reach the station,” where the person responsible for meeting your sister is unclear. Some links between ideas are mechanical or confusing, as in “so that you have not suffered from any kind of problems.” Use clearer sequencing and references—for example, state who will meet her, then explain how that person will take her home. Paragraphing is helpful, but clearer connections between sentences would make the letter easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough everyday vocabulary to communicate the general purpose of the letter, including “home keys,” “train station,” “luggage,” “snack,” and “favorite movie.” There are also attempts to express practical arrangements and reassurance. However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand, such as “I have metting in outside of the city,” “put my things to them house,” and “she is very helpful nature.” Spelling and word forms also need attention, including “alredy” and “laggage.” Choose more precise phrases for the arrangements and check common collocations; this will help your meaning come across more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate using mostly simple sentences and make some attempts to join ideas, for example with “so that” and “whenever.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “I am happy to heard,” “I give my home keys,” and “whenever you can hungry take and eat.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “unfortunately i” and “freeze.whenever.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with clear clauses. For example: “I have left the keys with Mr Patel, who lives nearby.”
