Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main situation by explaining that a key will be left in a key box, giving your relative the house location, and suggesting a movie or fun park visit. However, the response is only 94 words, so it does not meet the 150-word minimum, and the arrangements are only briefly described. The route from the station is not explained: sharing an address and GPS location with a cab driver is not enough to tell your relative how to travel there. You also do not say when you expect to be home, beyond “once I am back.” Add clear directions, an approximate arrival time, and fuller practical details about the key and evening plans.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The ideas follow a broadly sensible order: entry arrangements, travel, food and rest, then evening activities. This gives the reader a basic sense of the plan. However, the response is presented as one long sequence, with several ideas joined by “and” and commas, so the relationships between points are not always clear. For example, “Also share the address…” shifts abruptly from the key arrangements to travel, while “Food is alreday prepared…” moves to the next topic without a clear transition. Organise the letter into short paragraphs and use linking phrases such as “To get here…” and “When I return…” to make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small set of relevant words and phrases, including “key box,” “GPS location,” “cab driver,” and “fun park,” which communicate the basic situation. However, the vocabulary range is limited, and some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “key will be available on key box,” “enter in the house,” and “go for watching a movie.” There is also a spelling error in “alreday.” These issues make the message less fluent and occasionally less clear. Aim for more precise everyday expressions, such as “collect the key from the lockbox,” “get into the house,” and “watch a film,” and check spelling before finishing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response communicates its main points, but it relies on a limited range of sentence structures, mainly simple clauses joined together. Several grammatical errors affect clarity: “key will be available” needs an article, “I will share” is followed by the incomplete clause “Also share,” and “once I am back to the home” has an unnecessary article and an awkward preposition pattern. The long opening sentence also joins separate ideas with a comma, creating a run-on structure. Use complete sentences and vary them with clear time clauses, for example, “When I get home in the evening, we can go to the cinema.” Careful checking of articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries would improve accuracy.
