Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you explain that Mr Patel will hold the keys, give a taxi and bus option, and say you expect to be home at 5:30 p.m. You also suggest making food, taking a walk and visiting the shopping mall, so the letter is relevant and its purpose is clear. Some details are less fully explained, however. For example, you do not say how Sakhi should contact or identify Mr Patel to collect the keys, and the route directions do not include a street, landmark or other precise guidance. The evening plans are present but could be expressed more clearly and developed into a natural invitation. Adding these practical details would make the arrangements more complete and convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter follows a sensible order: greeting and opening, access and travel arrangements, then your arrival and evening plans. Paragraph breaks help the reader distinguish these topics, and phrases such as “however” and “After that” show an attempt to connect ideas. Some connections are awkward or unclear, particularly “howevre to getting into the house” and “also never my home thier is a shopping Mall,” which make the progression harder to follow. Several ideas are also joined in long strings with commas, rather than being separated into clear sentences. Use straightforward transitions and give each arrangement its own sentence; this would make the organisation smoother and the cohesion less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough everyday vocabulary to communicate the main arrangements, including “keys,” “taxi,” “station,” “evening walk” and “play area.” However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts of the letter difficult to understand, such as “extreme happy,” “reache,” “arounf” and “clouths.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “night job” and “go for evening walk.” These issues fit a level where vocabulary is sufficient for the basic message but control is inconsistent. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for travel, arrival and social plans. More precise wording would also help the reader understand the directions and your invitation without having to infer your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, for example “I will be at home by 5:30pm” and the sentence beginning “After that we will make some food.” The main message is generally recoverable, but grammatical errors occur throughout and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “I am extreme happy,” “I am not able to pick you form the station,” and “which will cost arounf Rs 40 also you can use…” The final sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise accurate adjective forms, infinitive patterns, articles and sentence boundaries. For instance, separate the taxi cost from the bus option with a full stop, and use complete, clearly structured sentences for the evening plans.
