Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the general situation and include a possible evening activity: you say you will be home later and suggest having coffee together. However, the key arrangements are not sufficiently clear. “I arrange something fir you” does not explain how your relative will obtain keys or enter the house, and the directions from the station are replaced by saying your friend will collect them. The friend’s role is also confusing: “who pick up from platform” does not clearly state whether the relative should meet this person or how to identify them. Give precise instructions for the keys and entry, explain the route or pickup plan, and state a clear time you expect to be home. These missing details limit how fully the task is addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The letter has a recognisable opening, body and closing, and the sequence broadly moves from your absence to the arrival arrangements and evening plans. Connectors such as “First of all,” “Also,” and “Furthermore” show an attempt to organise information. However, the progression is not consistently clear: “I arrange something fir you” is vague, and the shift to Ranveer’s pickup plan does not explain how it relates to the earlier arrangements. Several ideas are crowded into one paragraph, while punctuation and spacing make transitions harder to follow. Use separate paragraphs for access, travel from the station, and evening plans, and use linking phrases only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant everyday language for an informal letter, including “arrive,” “platform,” “phone number,” and “a cup of coffee.” The vocabulary is sufficient to convey the broad situation, but the range is limited and some choices are inaccurate or unclear. For example, “I would like to share that I arrange something” does not naturally express that you have made arrangements, while “if her drop at home” makes the pickup plan difficult to understand. Spelling errors such as “schdule,” “beacuse,” and “fir” also reduce accuracy. Choose precise phrases for practical arrangements, such as explaining where keys are kept or where to meet, and check spelling and natural word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms and sentence construction sometimes make the arrangements difficult to understand. Examples include “I will not available,” “who pick up,” and “I will mentioned her phone number”; these need forms such as “I will not be available,” “who will pick you up,” and “I will give you her phone number.” The sentence beginning “Furthermore, when i will come home” also uses an unsuitable future construction and has an unclear clause structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, as in “I hope you are doing well, It has…” and “soon.Take care.” Practise accurate clauses and verb forms, then proofread sentence boundaries.
