Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many nations people are not interested to recycle their things which they can easily do . I believe that there are some reason why they do so. This problem can be solve by some solutions.

To begin with, the first and foremost reason is busy schedule. In this era people are not have enough time to recycle their product . they believe in buy new one instead of recycle it. Moreover, when they get any information about new product they buy it even they already have it. for example, new generation always curious to buy new phone like i phone 17 pro max . even thought they already have moblie phones. that's why they do not recycle their things.

To start with, The first solution is that Goverment should aware the people about the importance to recycle how it is important for our environment. The law maker should organized seminers for the public. When they learn about it then they will start recycling. Apart from this, teachers also teach their students about recycle process. if they learn about it then they will encourage their parents about it specially in small towns.

Conclusion,

Although waste is increasing day by day but it can be prevent by recycling process. this can be done by encourage people to do recycling rather than buying new product.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for low recycling rates and suggesting solutions. However, the ideas are under-developed and lack depth. For instance, the explanation regarding 'busy schedules' is simplistic, and the example of the 'iPhone 17' is somewhat anecdotal and not fully integrated into a broader argument. Furthermore, the response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which limits the ability to fully develop the response. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the word count to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the issues.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the transition 'To start with' used to introduce the second body paragraph, which feels repetitive. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs. The conclusion is also very brief and lacks a clear summary of the main points. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that flows logically from the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'things', 'product', and 'buy'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'Goverment should aware the people' (should raise awareness) and 'organized seminers' (organise seminars). While the meaning is generally clear, the range is not sufficient to demonstrate flexibility or precision. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental issues, sustainability, and waste management, and work on using words in their correct grammatical forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('people are not have enough time'), incorrect verb forms ('can be solve', 'can be prevent'), and missing articles or prepositions. The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. When complex structures are attempted, they often contain errors, such as 'even thought they already have moblie phones'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and passive voice, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
