Student answer (Band 6.0)
Waste always comes when you use product, despite you are unboxing new gadgets and throwing boxes in corner, or drinking water in bottle. It is seen that most of the nations are not paying attention to their waste, which is recyclable. There are causes which will be explained.
There are some reasons that urban countries are not looking to eco waste. Firstly, in the case of industrial waste, which mainly comes in batteries, if they used once, they get thrown by people because they think they are not in use. However, the reason to not use them is that batteries are widely in production in western regions and now, formation of batteries is changed as now plates are invented in it.
Secondly, in the case of plastic, which does not compose, often thrown by mortals. According to one survey, America always use about 5 million plastic straw every single day, which they do not use send time. The reason because their production is huge and not expensive to buy in bulk.
Some of the solution may alter the situation that masses are facing. Firstly, in the cases of straw, they must be made by paper because after use, they can decompose easily and water bottles must be washed and sanitize properly. Moreover, In the case of industrial waste, despite plates are not usable, but they must be melt and their boxes can be changed or replaced with other material so they can be come in use.
To conclude, it is proven that use of recyclable stuff is possible if countries try to do them. Despite we have large production but we are still using sources which may get vanish someday. People should change their habits and try to recycle their rubbish as much as possible.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for low recycling rates and suggesting solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation regarding battery production and 'plates' is unclear and lacks logical connection to why people do not recycle. The example about plastic straws is relevant, but the argument remains underdeveloped. To improve, you should provide more specific, logical explanations for why these behaviors persist and ensure your solutions directly address the problems identified in the first half of the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, the flow within paragraphs is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear referencing. For example, the transition between the discussion of batteries and the proposed solution is disjointed. Additionally, some sentences are difficult to follow due to grammatical errors, which impacts the overall progression of your argument. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring clear pronoun references would improve the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is often repetitive and sometimes imprecise. Phrases like 'waste always comes when you use product' and 'thrown by mortals' are unnatural and imprecise. You attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'decompose' and 'recyclable', which is positive. However, there are frequent word-choice errors (e.g., 'urban countries' instead of 'developed nations', 'get vanish' instead of 'be depleted'). To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include incorrect article usage ('in the case of plastic'), subject-verb agreement ('batteries are widely in production'), and awkward sentence construction ('despite plates are not usable, but they must be melt'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors would be highly beneficial.
