Student answer (Band 6.5)
The waste material is not being reused by individuals in some nations as much as they need to do. I believe that it happens because people have lack of awareness and government must spend money to build recycle plants in the country.
To commence with, the main reason of not recycling the rubbish is that people are not aware of this. As it is seen that people use necessary things in their life, such as food products and grow out the waste stuff in the open field. Continually doing this may cause of a giant mountain of garbage because people are not taught to recycle all stuff. For example in India majority people has been throwing their garbage in the open area due to deficiency of knowledge of recycling process. As a result, the air is not only being polluted, but also the land is being damaged.
Moving towards the solution is that money should be invested to build recycling plants. If country has plants to recycle the waste material, a huge amount of waste stuff will be recycled and provide a social message to every citizen about the importance of recycling process. It will lead to decreasing the amount of spread garbage. For example in developed countries, all streets and agriculture area is neat and clean because people put the waste stuff inside the dustbin so that garbage truck come to collect it for recycling.
In conclusion, although lake of awareness of how to reuse the waste material may bring so many problems, such as bad air, government must think about it and aware people to keep area clean.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention a lack of awareness and the need for recycling plants, the arguments remain quite general. For instance, the explanation regarding India is a good start but lacks depth. To improve, try to expand on the 'why'—for example, discussing the inconvenience of sorting waste or the lack of government infrastructure. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully summarize the main points. Aim to provide more detailed examples and a more robust explanation of how your proposed solutions would function in practice.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'Moving towards the solution', and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the problem of awareness and the example of India could be smoother. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'it happens' in the introduction, which lacks a specific antecedent. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is often repetitive and lacks precision. Phrases like 'waste stuff' and 'necessary things' are quite informal and imprecise. You also have some word-choice errors, such as 'grow out the waste' (likely meaning 'throw out') and 'lake of awareness' (spelling error for 'lack'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to environmental issues, such as 'waste management,' 'sustainability,' or 'infrastructure.' Expanding your range of vocabulary will allow you to express your ideas with greater clarity and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('majority people has been throwing'), article usage ('the air is not only being polluted'), and awkward phrasing ('government must... aware people'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Practicing complex structures like conditional sentences (e.g., 'If governments invested in...') will also help you demonstrate better control over your grammar.
