Student answer (Band 6.5)

In today's world the topic of that people do not recycle their rubbish as much as they could has become increasingly important and has attracted considerable public attention. While some people believe that their is lack of garbage pick up facility in the some countries. Others hold the opposite view. Both the view points have their own merits. This essay will discuss the argument surrounding this issue before explaining why I believe that in many countries people do not recycle their waste.

Moreover, the one of the main reasons supporting the view is that some countries are still under developed and do not have enough government fund to provide waste management services . This is because of the low GDP and low national income, which has significant impact on individuals and society. For example countries like Pakistan and Bhutan has poverty and in these countries the infrastructure is also not developed. This example illustrates that there are several reasons to understand the reason for the above mentioned topic. As a result, many people consider this approach to be beneficial and practical.

On the other hand, their are also strong arguments in favour opposite view. Many people argue that maintaining the house waste is basic duty of the people and everyone should take care of their own thrash, because this is one of the main reasons that cause spreading serious diseases and virus. For instance the dumpling garbage in open area cause malaria. Therefore, this perspective should also to be taken into consideration.

In conclusion, both sides of argument have valid view points. Nevertheless, I believe that people people should at least be responsible and people should recycle their rubbish because it's benefits outweigh the drawbacks. If this approach is adopted, it is likely to produce positive results for both individuals and society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for low recycling rates and suggesting solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. The discussion on government funding is relevant, but the second body paragraph shifts focus to individual responsibility rather than providing concrete solutions to change the current situation, as requested by the prompt. The position is clear, but the arguments lack depth and specific examples are somewhat generic. To improve, ensure that the solutions provided directly address the causes mentioned, and expand on the 'how' and 'why' of your suggestions to provide a more comprehensive response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'This example illustrates that there are several reasons to understand the reason for the above mentioned topic', which is repetitive and does not effectively link the ideas. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the progression of your ideas feel more natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'maintaining the house waste' instead of 'managing household waste' and 'dumpling garbage' instead of 'dumping garbage'. The repetition of words like 'people' and 'reasons' limits the sophistication of the writing. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of synonyms to express your ideas more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('countries like Pakistan and Bhutan has poverty'), article usage ('the some countries'), and incorrect word forms ('their' used instead of 'there'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, particularly pluralisation and the correct use of articles and homophones like 'there/their'.
